Zones have music? I must have turned that off when I started playing.
What always comes first to mind for me is the music in Tenir’s Ascent in Hallowfall. The zone music changes to very light hearted Harry Potter-ish flying music, all the while Arathi soldiers are engaged in combat with the Nerubians.
That makes sense, though the spot where the Varian statue phases in is a fair ways away from where the music transitions, and on RP servers the statue isn’t where you’re likely to hang out (whether you can see it or not); the fountain circle and the two round landings connected to it are much more populated.
I think most people that hang out there are just happy it’s not a big crater like it was for several years after everyone forgot about Deathwing.
Sholazar basin always sounded like a baby crib mobile to me lol. It’s good music but it’s weird to go from the unsettling cold dark sounds of borean tundra or maybe the lonely sound of battles past in wintergrasp to the jungle adventure jr music.
Like basically Titanic music but the ship is sinking in a bathtub next to a rubber ducky.
Goldshire on Moon Guard…I think it should be more 80s smooth jazz, you know the one that played on the weather channel back in the day
The soundtrack to Goldshire on Moon Guard should be the sound of intermittent coughs and buzzing flies. Just to really set the mood.
Hmmm, I can’t think of a single song in game that I’ve thought sounded bad or out of place.
I can say I love DF’s theme music, and TWW’s theme is good too, not sure why people don’t love them. One place I’ve really enjoyed lately is Hallowfall. I can just sit up on a mountain and just relax listening to the music. I don’t think any music doesn’t fit to me, and I like quite a bit of the music overall. Undermine is pretty perfect as well, especially for the theme.
