Leveling feeling like an accomplishment.
Leveling your character made her stronger, made her have more valuable skills, allowed her to enter newer and harder zones, and eventually got her to max level where the story continued. Also, when you hit max level, you got a little celebration or maybe flying or SOMETHING.
I can’t even begin to say how much I miss this. Blizzard’s most boneheaded decision was to make character progression through the WORLD of Warcraft almost meaningless.

I miss the sense of adventure that use to exist. The idea that I should go exploring things like caves because they may have a unique rewarding item or Easter egg in them. I also miss when chests had good items in them that were worth slogging through packs for
