Okay, please explain to me why you do not want active talents, because you are in the minority or you’re a Classic SoD grandpa player who doesn’t know their head from their hands.
All race/class combos… or at least dracthyr getting more classes.
A way to get all “retired” content/rewards.
Difficult overworld content.
Beards for women.
There are plenty of very, very lengthy threads on reducing button bloat / complexity with people arguing back and forth. Refer to those.

Honestly, nothing. I’m probably going to let both my subs lapse and I don’t have any desire to buy the next expansion.
For the first time in nearly 20 years, I can safely say that I might officially be done with WoW.
I’m just not into WoW at all at the moment. I came back a bit to PvP some but that was all.
It’s hard to assess how over WoW I am when we’re in this expansion. Like with Shadowlands before it. If the game is a hit in TWW then it’ll show up in the numbers. If not then w/e. It’ll just be more of the same.
I haven’t truly enjoyed the game since Legion. Back then I could five box my crew or multiple crews, work on artifacts, do some dungeons, even M+ (some of us did +15 keys back then with no hardship).
Since they banned the multiboxing software, made M+ incredibly more annoying to multibox and the story went to the dogs it’s been lame.
I don’t expect TWW to do anything to make me more engaged. So it’s very possible I just don’t buy it. That depends on the narrative though. Do you spend the money and hours to play through it or just watch a Youtube video about it? I’d rather play through the story of Elden Ring than play WoW.
Dropping the power aspect of hero talents and switching focus to class cosmetic reskins.
Reverting to MoP-style talents.
Removing armor type restrictions on transmog.
If the cinematic was good. We didn’t need to see Anduin crying again. Hes the king, should probably act like it.
His father’s soul was split in two…. When it was whole again, he went right back to run things. There was no “going to find himself”
The story needs to stop being so soft. The removal of that Garrosh line should have been the first red flag.
A Horde story.
I’m also on the side that the main thing they can do better is a better story.
Cosmetics, races, classes, housing are all fine stuff they can sprinkle on top of whatever they do.
But a good story can steal the show and makes you interested in playing everything else in the game
I have a wishlist of other stuff but I don’t think they’re quite as much interested in going back to 12 new dungeons per expansion and 4 raid tier.
A dk rework would be nice tho.
I’m excited for it, but I’d like to plan which character I’m going to main. Right now we don’t even know what the hero talents will look like for everything. It would have been much better if they dumped the preview for every hero talent tree straight after Blizzcon. The uncertainty behind what every name means is frustrating.
Ogres as the new playable, as opposed to Earthen.
I’ve hoped for a truly great system of player housing for years, ever since discovering it could be one of my favorite facets of mmo’s (and non-mmo’s too.) EQ2 had pretty good housing, Rift had phenomenal housing with incredible expansive land to build on, ffxiv has cute but hard to obtain homes, and the list goes on, with Valheim most recently charming me despite the Minecraftian blockiness to contend with.
What else could thrill me…a separate but equal path to M+/raiding, where smaller groups would suffice, and by smaller, I mean solo/duo/trio numbers. The recent addition of npc’s to fill out a normal dungeon is promising, but I’d love for the idea to be expanded.
For now, I’m intrigued by the Warband concept and hoping that turns out to be a wonderful beginning of adding in some cohesiveness to our alt armies.
Bro u play as Fox…
You can already do that.
The more active talents we get the harder it is to balance and balance si number 1 issue at the moment for vast majority of players who aren’t meta.
Solo daily world content
I want that back.
Thats all it would take to make me excited for it.
Dragonflight is a one day a week expansion.
That sucks.
A conserted effort on behalf of the writers to move the story more towards factional tension and away from… whatever this current incestuous mess is supposed to be.
We don’t have to be at open war but there should be mistrust, hatred and bad-faith operatives on both sides. We should not trust one another. We should not like one another.
Alliance getting to be the bad guys for once…sadly that’s not happening we’re having to work with them to stop the void. I’d probably be more sold on it if the new race for it wasn’t Earthen, oh and a promise that worgen would get more customization options for their worgen selves like optional tails and Blizz will stop spoiling the elves at long last
Honestly, I think I’m too fussy and the genre may not be for me anymore.
Meh is about all I can say and I have no idea what would really ‘wow’ me as an announcement for the game.
For now, as long as my guild is still around, I’m staying to raid with them as healing really is my only love in the game.
The thing that would have excited me the most for The War Within would be if every player who posted rage threads about hating dragon riding and about how they didn’t like Dracthyrs’ appearance had their subs refunded and their accounts deleted, because I can guarantee you the venn diagram between those folks and the ones who are doomsayers about the next expansion is a circle.
It’s the negativity for me. It’s a disease.
I’m pretty neutral on it at this point. Might be more excited if:
Wasn’t in a cave. (Maybe it won’t feel like one, but then what’s the point?)
Had both flying styles from day 1, no finishing the campaign or exploring needed.
Had more interesting sounding hero talents for pallies, but that’s pretty subjective obviously.
But really, if they actually manage a decent story and the raids/dungeons are fun I’ll be pretty happy with it, at least in terms of value for the money.
