The best expansions were the ones where the Horde and Alliance teamed up. The entire story since WCIII was about the Horde and Alliance working together.

It’s working out just fine. Dragonflight has zero hint of faction conflict and has been received dramatically better than the previous two expansions.

(In before the “everything new is bad” chorus chimes in to tell me how much they hate Dragonflight)

How, first of all, no more of that writer’s favorite faction crap. Establish a goal and stick to it. Make it reasonably fair towards both factions. It’s not rocket science, Horde loses a battle, Alliance loses a battle, Horde wins, Alliance wins. The point isn’t who wins, because we all know nobody really does since it’s a damned game. It’s like waching a WWII story, we know who wins in the end but we still follow the story of the movie, right? Well there’s where they need help, get some war novelists to pitch in, put them in direct contact with the Art team, create a setting using their combined experience and deliver a immersive story.

I brought up WW2. They could have done this with Glineas, I’m a Forsaken player, I would not have minded playing through a losing campaign if that was done right. Imagine a Dunkirk style quest line for the Forsaken.
