What would be the most exciting WoW announcement

A few things would get me really excited:

  1. Clarification of the chat moderation rules, preferably paired with a return to the rules in place BEFORE the social contract (no slurs, no threats, no harassment/stalking).
  2. Separation of competitive and non-competitive incentives for dungeons. Selection of competitive vs non-competitive play that allows you to either play for score or to play for fun. “For fun,” can still provide an internal score, but it shouldn’t be displayed to the players. Non-competitive players should be placed together. Competitive players should be placed together. Competitive and non-competitive rewards should be the same but based on different criteria. If there are more severe toxicity rules, they should only be enforced in non-competitive.
  3. Convert solo shuffle into a band ranking system. People stress out too much over the scores. On the back end you can look at whether there are enough healers in each band and change the BAND definitions if needed so you don’t have to deal with this multi-100mmr discrepancy that frustrates everyone so much. Again, keep an internal score. We don’t need to know what it is… but use it to calculate r1. Use the band mechanic to create fairness and please avoid making it too narrow such that it leaves you stuck without queues with similar-level players.
  4. Make skirms a “safe” system where the players actually queue in and give it an internal mmr so people who play it a lot play other players of similar skill. Widely clash bands as needed, but new players try to learn in skirms and hit what feels like an impossible wall.
