What would 4 factions look like?

This comes from actual observations of current in-game and soon-to be in-game plot developments.

First:

We have Sylvanas cheesing off pretty much all the original Horde: Suarfang is AWOL, Baine is unhappy, Lore'thamar is going to lose it when he finds out that Sylvanas has raised Blood Elves into undeath.

This sets up Sylvanas and spinning off an Undead faction, in which undead versions of all the races might be members and would leave the Orcs, Trolls, Tauren and Blood Elves in the Horde.

Second:

We have Tyrande essentially telling Anduin to point sand, and taking Genn with her. The Night Elves have pretty much "peace out" by 8.1 already.

This sets up a Night Elf/Worgen faction with Humans, Dwarves, Gnomes, et. al. staying in the Alliance.

We've *seen* this dynamic before: in the campaigns of the RTS.

Now, it may just be that Blizzard is leaning int the RTS dynamic for the duration of BfA. Or is may end up being that the faction conflict will re-evolve around Night Elf. v. Forsaken, or that Blizzard will set up a third Forsaken faction. There are many ways this can play out.

I will also leave the community with this: at the Blizzcon before BfA released, Blizzard said (and I am paraphrasing because I do not have an eidetic memory) "wouldn't it be great to resolve the faction conflict for once and for all?" We HAVE TO look at the events in BfA with the understanding that Blizzard's stated goal is to evolve the faction war story IN SOME WAY. I think it's too early to tell what way, but the fun is in the speculation.
