I’ll give Classic a shot for nostalgia, but I also played during that time. I remember the frustrations enough to balance it.
Nothing springs to mind because it isn’t an either or proposition for me.
What I wont miss once classic wow is released, are the new and engaging posts from folks who apparently are really really fishing for some kind of response that they sadly are not getting. Sorry guys nobody cares.

What would I miss about Retail? … fast travel
Being able to move around fast on ground and flying mounts is taken for granted in Retail but a luxury in Vanilla.
Put another way. If you have 30 minutes to play:
- In Retail - it takes 2 minutes to get from the city to your questing zone. You then have 28 minutes of quality time questing and fighting.
- In Vanilla - it takes 20 minutes to get from the city to your questing zone. You have just 10 minutes of quality time for questing and fighting.
