What will itemization be like in classic wow?

In my last thread, many people seemed to have the answer that we would be seeing 1.12 itemization. However, I don’t see any Blizzard posts specifically confirming that the patch 1.12 as a base for the game means 1.12 itemization. Of course we won’t have access to all the gear and enchants of the actual 1.12 patch, but if one looks at items in many instances, one can see that even with DM gear there will be a difference in pre-raid BiS lists.
Here are a few changes to give you an overview:
Gorosh the Dervish: Savage Gladiator Chain changes from +13stam +20defense +2crit to +13stam +14agi +13str +2crit. He also now drops healing ring Bloodclot Band.
Ok’thor the Breaker: Ban’thok Sash upgrades from +10stam +12int to +10stam+11int +1hit +12spelldmg
Lord Roccor: does not drop Mantle of Lost Hope.
Cannon Master Willey: Diana’s Pearl Necklace, Mantle of the Scarlet Crusade, Redemption added.
Kirtonos the Herald: Windreaver Greaves buffed added +1hit
The Scholo sets are all buffed, but the chest pieces are mostly still good in older patches.
War Master Voone/Urok Doomhowl: Rosewine Circle buffed
General Drakkisath: Draconian Deflector -5 defense. Brigam Girdle -10spirit +1hit. Spellweaver’s Turban added.

I hope that was enough to give you an overview. There are many more changes, especially in BRD.

So I want to keep asking that we hear an answer from Blizzard about this. I realize it may be a hassle to research and find information about these stats, but the effort would be greatly appreciated by nerdier fans like myself. For those of you who agree with me, perhaps we should pool our resources together and perhaps even do the work for Blizzard. For those who think it will not make a difference, why do you think this? I don’t like it when threads turn from good conversation into nasty toned and snarky responses. Thanks for your time and please Blizzard, whenever you can, answer those of us who are curious about this issue.

Gear will not make as big of a difference as you think it will. The biggest differences will be 1.12 talents, correct gearing (no wearing random blues just cuz they are blue), and general player knowledge.

There is another problem with progressive itemization that no one talks about: We KNOW what’s going to be good. So people will still farm the underwhelming items and just sit on them until they are awesome again. It only delays the inevitable.

ALSO, even though blizzard has not directly said they are not using progressive itemization, we can highly infer that they aren’t going to when they said they are using 1.12 as the base patch.

Your precious Molten Core will never be hard again. And that’s okay. You know why? Having a progressive difficulty curve in the game’s raid content is GOOD for the game!
