Trying new things and also Ions pride blinding his vision to clear issues with the game. Blizzard moving much further away from their RPG base.
A list to long to post. However the highlights would be:
Watered-down version of recycled content
The Azerite debacle
Time-gating and/or Rep Grind
Putting WoW into a new low that it will never recover from.
Killing tier for azerite
World of Content Gate.
Legion 2.0 - only watered down.
Beta for azerite gear that sucks.
If you asked the forums during WOD’s time you would get an absolute Yes.
It will be known for the expansion in which they finally took things too far with all of their artificial systems to extend play time.
People tolerated layered RNG in legion because of the class artifact.
People were very unhappy about how flight was handled and how Argus was released so close after the arrival of flight only to have another ground based grind.
But as usual, the people at Blizzard are totally tone deaf to feedback. So now they see the result of continually ignoring it. People have left again.
This group must be proud to go from 10 million to what they have now in 3 expansions. Great job there!
Known as WoD 2.0.
Came here to post this.
Blizzard has my money until the expansion ends since I’ve already invested this much time and that’s it. I’m not paying for more time gated bullcrap next expansion.
making tons of people rage whine constantly over the tiniest of things.
"# The Sunk Cost Fallacy Is Ruining Your Decisions. Here’s How
If you’ve ever let unworn clothes clutter your closet just because they were expensive, or followed through on plans you were dreading because you already bought tickets, you’re familiar with the sunk cost fallacy.
“The sunk cost effect is the general tendency for people to continue an endeavor, or continue consuming or pursuing an option, if they’ve invested time or money or some resource in it,” says Christopher Olivola, an assistant professor of marketing at Carnegie Mellon’s Tepper School of Business and the author of a new [paper] on the topic published in the journal Psychological Science . “That effect becomes a fallacy if it’s pushing you to do things that are making you unhappy or worse off.”
This idea often applies to money, but invested time, energy or pain can also influence behavior. “Romantic relationships are a classic one,” Olivola says. “The longer you’ve been together, [the harder it is to break up]"
Come on man. Stop procrastinating, just cut it off already. Be brave, make sure you post a wall of text about why you’re leaving.
Beta for Azerite seems to be the most accurate description.
2 PATCHES worth of content have to be re done in 8.2 because Azerite armor was so broken. Not even going to mention the resetting mobs in instances and just random bugs I have seen while tanking.
It is a very common joke to call Blizzard an Indie company. They rushed this expansion out with very little testing and you are seeing the result.
Also the new races in this expansion are behind not just rep gains but not 1 BUT 2 raids 8 months or more into an expansion.
The problem with your fallacy is that there assumes no set end.
I see the end. It’s when this expansion ends. It’s as simple as that.
It’s not “my” fallacy, it’s A fallacy.
You’ve said your quitting, you’ve admitted you’re not happy and the only reason your staying s because of the time you’ve invested so far. BLAM Sunk Cost Fallacy. It doesn’t matter what you say, it doesn’t matter how hard you try to rationalize your decision, you’re a victim of this fallacy.
You’re going to put effort and time into something you’ve admitted you don’t like, only because you’ve already put time and effort into it.
If you don’t want to fall victim to the sunk cost fallacy you’ll quit now, but you won’t. You’ll also buy the next expansion.
Relax, shill. I already said I’m not quitting just yet. Go defend Blizzard elsewhere now.
Way to not address the content of my statements. I’ll see ya next expansion.
Ok. I’ll see you next expansion.
What’s there to address? I pointed out the fallacy to bring up has no end by that logic and you’re just repeating yourself.
Do you have brain damage?
Impossible to say. At the beginning of legion I would have said how bad legendaries were, but now I remember it by the fun I had in antorus and doing the mage tower. Won’t know until we’re a decent way through the last patch of bfa.
