I’m not even going to do the cloak quest on any of my toons. It will be irrelevant anyway in what 12 months. GL those that are happy doing it. Each to their own I say.
I only do the weekly, the bi-weekly, and the portal daily. When the weekly and bi-weekly are up I pick up the regular dailies because, I mean, why not?
I have my cloak at full, 5 vessels, and spare resources.
Eventually itll take more time but meh? Don’t do the dailies if you don’t want to.
just stop doing them after you get lvl 3 essence (which you should have already)
The horrific visions can be kind of fun if you enjoyed the Withered training scenario, since it’s basically the same kind of thing (get a bit further each time). The first few ranks (1-5) are really easy too. It’s worth doing a few times just to see the content.
Today’s dailies:
Uldum:
- Click 6 coins off dead wastelanders (don’t even have to dismount for this)
- Stomp on 8 larvae
- Kill 15 flying mobs
Took about 7 minutes total and all 3 could be completed in the same small area.
Vale:
- Click on 6 banners
- Click on 6 incubators
- Kill 3 mobs and click on the notebook
- Kill 7 hozen
Took about 20 minutes.
You’re right, it didn’t take me 30 minutes. It took me 27. Thanks for helping me to remember.
You mean outside of probably the BIS minor AZ trait in the game? I love how people cried about world quests and how dailies were so much better. They give us dailies in the two new zones and people are now crying because they have to quest.
No wonder Blizzard ignores these forums.
There are 7-8 dailies. Do the four easiest.
It wouldn’t be so bad if the spawn rate was better. I didn’t do the Wastewander supplies because I couldn’t find the last one and was tired of just flying around.
I’ve honestly never been this bored in any patch that I can remember. When I think about doing the dailies, I typically get exhausted just thinking about it and log out of the game. Not play alts, no no, the 8.3 dailies exhaust me too much to enjoy any of it.
If WoW ever had a shark jumping moment, this is it. I can just imagine Ion in the Fonze’s leather jacket leaping over that shark at this very moment.
For a new vessel every 5.7 days, I just don’t even do em.
Time sink … that’s about it. They could have done a better job with the dailies in my opinion.
Just do what I do. Go fly around them and do the events you come across and kill any rares you see. Don’t stay in each zone for more than 15 minutes, unless there’s an invasion up.
I figure I’ll eventually get exalted as by doing this I’m close to revered with the two factions so far.
I intend to get to Exalted and get the cloak to 15, after that, I won’t step foot in either further.
It’s grinding for the sake of grinding. I’m more annoyed that it’s ONLY in Uldum and Vale. It’s already repetitive.
Ny’alotha as a zone with some Mechagon-inspired zone wide unlocks would have done wonders for this patch.
How long does it take you to do them? Start the clock when you first log on, or when you make your first move to go to the there.
I’m only doing the dailies on the off chance I’ll need these reps exaulted for a future allied race. I’m just over halfway through revered for both factions and jeez is it tediously slow going. I wish Blizz would just say whether or not either of the factions will turn into an allied race or better yet drop rep requirements for ARs altogether. I have every AR besides Kul Tirans unlocked and grinding all those reps to exaulted didn’t add anything meaningful besides drawing things out unnecessarily.
Takes me about an hour.
Step 1 - Go click shadowbarb mount quest
Step 2 - If in Uldum, go do lesser vision, click dailies on the way
Step 3 - Complete lesser vision
Step 4 - Complete shadowbarb mount quest
Step 5 - If I have time, complete uldum dailies
Step 6 - If I have time, go to Vale and collect dailies
Step 7 - Complete Vale dailes
Step 8 - If I have more time, complete Vale events
Step 9 - If I have more time, go back to Uldum and complete events
Step 10 - If i’m bored, fly around for rares and chests (clean the map)
It is disingenuous to tell players to ignore dailies and consequently shroud ranking as by doing so, they are therefore behind their peers. Nobody likes being behind. There may be an element of FOMO to this.
I stopped doing the dailies about 3 or 4 days after 8.3 launched. I only do the lesser vision and the assault. I don’t even bother going after the chests even though I have a couple completed relics to open the big ones from before in my bags. With this, I have 3 unused heroic vision thingies and a rank 10 cloak.
You guys really need to stop doing the dailies.
As ranks increase, it will begin to require more vessels per week to upgrade one’s shroud. That is to say, players may end up feeling pressured to do dailies and acquire additional currency to stay relevant.
