What the hell is with all the constant disconnects?

I cannot be the only one this keeps happening to but as the topic says
What the hell is with all the constant disconnects?

I have an actual fiber optic connection (You know the buried in the ground, glass in the wire connection) and my specs are as follows

Windows 10 Ghost Spectre
i9 13900k
64GB DDR5 @6400 MT/s
1tb Kingston Fury Nvme m.2
2tb WD Black SN850x
Asus Z690 DDR5 plus-wifi
RTX 3090 ti (FE)

So don’t bother saying it’s my connection or my computer

These constant disconnects are beyond out of control and the exact reason why I would not ever play HC. In D2R if you get disconnected in HC, your character is dead. So it’s not worth playing HC. People who get disconnected are also losing game time they paid for so every time they get disconnected, they should be refunded $1 to their account.
I will guarantee if players got refunded $1 every time they disconnected, the disconnects would stop

It’s you bro.

I never DC from WOW or most any game.

It’s either your ISP or a router between you and the data centers where WOW servers are hosted.

So this is the typical I didn’t read what you put and since it doesn’t happen to me so it’s you troll or shill. They also ignore that there are tons of other people all having this same issue

This person also has absolutely no clue how fiber internet works. I also find it amusing how if the only time someone gets disconnected is in one specific thing and no other time, they somehow still believe it’s not the place you get disconnected from.

I will guarantee if players got refunded $1 every time they disconnected, the disconnects would stop

It doesn’t happen to me.

I have played for like 20+ hrs no DCs.

Your ISP can be having issues or a router between you and the WOW server.

You do know packets take random hops to get from point A to B right? They go through many routers along the way.

If any one of those has issues you will have issues.

Guess what also lil guy, lots of ISPs are under attack lately from hackers. The entire internet and phone system is compromised by hackers and has been for years.

It’s a major story right now that you are probably to naive to have even heard of. Literally they can’t get the hackers out and are actively telling their IT to not even look into it in case they get sued. It’s very very very bad.

That is 100% irrelevant to this topic and anything in it.

Where do these people come from?

How is it not relevant if I NEVER have DCs?

LOL

If it was a huge problem surely I’d have a DC?

Your internet connection depends on where you live in the country and how far you are from the datacenter.

The farther you are the more hops it takes and the more chances for problems.

I live very close to the datacenter. Therefore I never have issues.

The speed of your connection is actually irrelevant.

You can play WOW over dial up.

That’s the exact same thing as someone who uses a mod for a game telling someone that listed a problem, that since they never ran into a problem using it, then that somehow means there isn’t a problem with it not getting the concept that not running into a problem doesn’t mean the problem doesn’t exist it just means you never encountered it. So you’re either purposely trolling or attempting to instigate. Either way, I’m done engaging with you.

You are trolling or don’t understand how the internet works.

Just because YOU disconnect doesn’t mean EVERYONE is disconnecting.

now they change what was said nowhere did i say EVERYONE also ignoring there are a lot of people reporting this problem.

and with that now you’re going on my ignore list because you’re clearly going out of your way to use every angle to start a problem. I’ve reported you as well.

You even have an intel chip. Your CPU could be dying and you probably don’t even understand that is a possibility.

Intel 13 series CPUs have terrible issues and fail constantly which results in Graphics locks ups and other weird issues like DCs etc.

I’d wager that is probably your issue especially if you never fixed your bios to limit current draw by he CPU.

Your CPU is probably dying. Tons of intel 13900ks have died horrible deaths.

https://www.pcworld.com/article/2415697/intels-crashing-13th-14th-gen-cpu-nightmare-explained.html

I disconnect every once in a while but it’s not common.

I did run into an issue in the past where I would disconnect due to an addon error. Forgot which one it was…maybe run without addons and see if the problem resolves?

He has a 13900k the odds of it being the issue are EXTREMELY high.

Pretty much every 13900k will die an early death. There were manufacturing defects.

I swapped mine out for a 9950x3d from AMD to avoid having issues.

The only place I have disconnect problems is in 2 Blizzard games D2R and WoW, no other place on the entire net or in any other game, ever disconnects. My entire system runs 100% flawlessly outside of these 2 games (Made by the same company)

The sheer utter ignorance from everyone replying is absolutely mind boggling.

Too bad you don’t get more disconnects while posting here. Just sayin.

You better fix your Bios before you wear out your CPU if it’s doing OK then.

It’s a real issue.

Also I’m still not getting DCs here.

First it’s my ISP, then it’s my processor, now it’s my BIOS, what’s next it’s because I don’t have RGB on my power supply?

Fine have your CPU die I tried to help you.

You deserve this.

Also glad you are DCing.

I was having a similar problem and got a VPN, problem solved instantly.

Yes because a VPN takes a different route and likely bypasses the congested router in the previous route you were using.

Have you tried disabling all add-ons see if you keep disconnecting? Slowly enable addons, see if you start disconnecting again. Addons are known to cause instability issues.
