Shandris: You spoke harshly to King Anduin, Tyrande. The kaldorei can ill afford to shun the Alliance. They have provided aid and comfort to us in these dark times.
Tyrande: The young king is foolish to trust our enemies. Harsh words should be the least of his fears.
Shandris: The Banshee Queen no longer leads the Horde. Those who do seem more inclined toward peace than war.
Tyrande: If the wolf is rabid, it matters not who rides it. Sooner or later, the beast will bare its fangs.
Shandris: You are dearest to my heart, Tyrande. I beg you, let go of the Black Moon’s rage and embrace the mother’s light once again. I could not bear to lose you to darkness.
Tyrande: Know this. My hunger for vengeance will not be sated so long as Sylvanas Windrunner remains free–and until I know why Elune abandoned her children.
Shandris: Tyrande! Do not say such–
Tyrande: I will tarry no longer in this city of men. Let us leave for the boughs of Nordrassil.
Tyrande: From there we will dispatch the Sentinels to every corner of Azeroth. Let no one rest until the Banshee is found!
Sometimes i think the ppl who write this stuff don’t read their own work.
Elune saved Malfurion when he was axed in the back, Elune took the citizens of Darnassus in her ligh, their passing was peaceful with no pain (as per the the pdf). She lended her power to tyrande as her high priestess time and time again and last but not least, she lend her the power of the night warrior in the ritual at Dark shore turning Tyrande into “The avatar of Elune vengeance”
So, what up?
Do you guys at blizzard don’t know what the word “Avatar” means? Do you guys don’t pay attention to the lore written one patch ago?
We can argue all day if the answer is effective or not, but good Lord a little consistency wouldn’t hurt.
All Elune priestesses had their powers during the war, all prayers go answered, you have an Avatar roaming the land. Its time to stop this abandonment nonsense. It becomes ridiculous getting doubts in your goddess when she did everything you asked for and you are her avatar (in other words she is there with you) and i cannot be the only one bothered with this bad writing.
Drama for drama´s sake does not make a good story
ps: Is not Elunes fault that bad writing made wood catapults able to incinerate a giant tree in the midle of the ocean miles away from the coast
Blizzard can’t write. They keep forgetting their own story and just keep adding onto them carelessly. The story, imo, is dead ever since the start of BFA.
i missed warmonger angry Tyrande that willing to do questionable things for her people (like when she kill wardens to set Illidan, biggest race traitor atm, free)
I thinnk Tyrande worshipped Elune but that a void being answered her prayers instead. She doesnt know why Elune wont help her children? Possibly because Elune cant.
They just keep doing the Kaldorei dirty because they think we want this figuring-out-who-you-really-are kodocrap. No. We just want blood for all of our fallen people. We don’t want to deal with this pseudo abandonment stuff trying to convince us our Goddess is actually some sort of villain in disguise.
Tyrande is getting more senile by the day. She probably doesn’t even understand what’s she saying half the time. She’s like some old man ranting about kids these days and people on her lawn.
Well, the Kaldorei rolling over for the Alliance isn’t exactly a good option either but Shandris is right in that we kind of need them just in the off chance the Horde decide a fifth war is appropriate.
Tyrande just sounds like she suspects her loyal moon wife is cheating on her when all Elune has done is do what gods can do. Watch and offer their powers.
that’s a non-sequitur. You can’t jump in and out of being within the confines of the story to looking at it from an outsider perspective critiquing the bad writing. As far as the story is concerned, Elune is a two-timing spot of light who has a lot of explaining to do. When the so-called matron deity of your race let’s the majority of it get incinerated without so much as an attempt to stop the advancing army before it got to that point, it’s a worthless deity or worse a malicious one. The Ancients put up far more of a defence for the Night Elves than Elune ever did and they have be co-opted by myriad other knuckledragging races since WC3. Elune failed the night elves and now they are almost entirely gone as a result. It’s almost impossible to rationalise anything benevolent from that. Tyrande being able to wear the avatar of vengeance doesn’t answer why Elune allowed things to go as far as they did.
