What RP Feature are you Craving?

Aside from player housing of course…

I’d like it if they gave us a garden in the Capitol of our choosing (similar to the MoP ranch). Plants grown would remain relevant in all expansion recipes because they would be cosmetic only.

  • Cooks can cook fun RP items like the placible cake and cheese wheel from the vendors in Dalaran.

  • Inscriptionists could use their garden for race specific glyph ingredients. Change spell animation colors or abilities swap to appropriate race specific abilities.

  • Alchemists, oil that deter certain wildlife from attacking you and also could craft perfumes that give a cosmetic aura.

Maybe have a vendor you can barter crops to in exchange for expansion herbalism plants. Make it costly.

This may not be exactly what you mean but I really want more agency for our characters in questing.

One of my favourite parts of Legion was the Demon Hunter campaign and the choice between Kayn & Altruis. It set the tone for everything that followed. And the opportunity to decline quests but have them still count as completed-- like if somebody asks you to do something that your character wouldn’t do (a paladin wouldn’t steal, a rogue might turn something down if the reward isn’t spectacular).

Aside from that, I’d agree with the monk-- more customisation options, please & thank you.

High Elves on the Alliance.
In-game Bestiary.
Player/Guild Housing.
Toys that allow you to place objects such as tents on the ground that de-spawn if you move far enough away, and they have no collision.
Toys that allow you to place interactive objects such as Chairs on the ground, again persisting until such a time as log-out or moving far from them.
Toys that remove the cooldowns and durations on fun and harmless toys such as Orbs of Transformation.
Option in Transmog to hide every article of equipment individually.

belly button rings for goblins
ear option with a bite out of it for goblins

Shocked that there’s not a chewed ear for goblins.

Agree with y’all on customization, I am dying for scars to become a thing.

Player agency would be so good :sob:

More things like the Aldor and Scryers would be greatly welcomed.

Dyes and/or a color match feature.

More flavor items that characters can hold, similar to the various off-hands like books and lanterns (and to not have to constantly unsheathe them). I’d literally kill for our characters to be able to hold stuff like a plushie elekk/raptor.

More cosmetic clothing items, and/or something similar to “town clothes” in GW2.

A few hunter pets (bears and I think one or two others) already have commands to lay down and sleep; I’d love it if they expanded that feature to all pets and made it so they’d stay asleep until commanded to stop. I like having pets around during RP but so many of them make annoying noises/movements that feel distracting.

Brawndo.

Any. Any RP feature would be nice. Since we have literally none in this game.

I RPed in a game where you couldn’t sit or walk.

Customization options aside, it would be nice to allow some technical stuff to improve the experience for RPers.

Elixir of Tongues should be a toggle, not a timed effect.

Communities should have more features and cross-faction communities should permit nicknames.

Ideally sharding should go away entirely on RP servers. Orgrimmar and Stormwind seem to survive just fine without it. Sharding is fine to use in the first couple weeks in an expansion when things are super congested but beyond that it seems like it causes more pain than its worth.

Apostrophes and hyphens in names. Or surnames. We’ve all had the fun experience of trying to find a non-taken mononym on a high pop server.

More animated emotes. I realize they’re probably gonna look ridiculous, because that’s just what happens with this game.
Fewer toy CDs, for less time.
Being able to mog into invisible pieces for every slot. I don’t care if it’s ‘immersion-breaking’ or whatever; somehow the world doesn’t end when my fella in FF runs around in his marauder set with just his leather battle briefs and boots visible.
Drop the mog restrictions already, for both armour class and holiday mog items. Keep tier sets learned from the actual tier set pieces restricted if you must but the rest is just dumb.
Add in surnames as a name field in character creation.
Stop! Removing portals! To make the world feel ‘bigger’!!!

Some basic stuff I’d like to see include…

-More hairstyles. A very effective way to change a character’s silhouette or appearance from a distance.

-Coats. We’re getting long coats with BfA. I’d like to see more.

-A height slider- even though I know 90% of people will either use max/min settings. :stuck_out_tongue:

-Allow cloth users to wear leather/mail/plate, but gain no actual benefits. Similar to how classes can equip certain weapons, even though they have no ability to actually use them.

-Institute “Legacy Quest Rewards” so that when you finish a quest, and you’re more than 20 levels above the requirements, you can choose ANY of the rewards.

-Oh, and bring back some of those “no longer available” armor pieces! There were some really great pieces and now they’re just lost to time!

Overall more customization:

  • Varied hair/skin/scars/blah blah blah.
  • I agree on the turtlenecks.
  • Let me not show my gloves/bracers >:expressionless:
  • Draenor is dead, let us have our garrison as player housing and let us customize it to our races.
  • GLASSES.
  • Surnames.
  • Agency - I want back the ability to choose fun things for my class that didn’t have to do with DPS racing. Flavor for classes and races.
  • In addition to height I want to be a fat goblin - let me slide that right to Gallywix level please.
  • Stop taking up my bag space with cool things that should be toys - Darkmoon Cannon I am looking at you.

Toys that allow you to place objects such as tents on the ground that de-spawn if you move far enough away, and they have no collision.

Fun fact: you used to be able to /camp and a tent would appear.

Institute “Legacy Quest Rewards” so that when you finish a quest, and you’re more than 20 levels above the requirements, you can choose ANY of the rewards.

I believe that you get all the appearances now when you choose a reward… am I wrong on that?

Empty, open world versions of instances that can be used for casual RP.

Case in point: Waycrest Manor. That creepy old house has some nifty RP spots, but you can have a max of 5 people in there, and all the same faction. What if we could actively use an “open world” version of an instance for RP? That’d be awesome.
