I like them too, but to this point there’s really no lore reason for them to side with the Horde. And it’s not even clear if they can travel/exist outside the Shadowlands.
sethrak they are the coolest looking alien race of all time imo.
The Nathrezim and members from the Maw, Bastion, and Maldraxxus existed outside of the Shadowlands. I don’t think it’s farfetched to think Venthyr can as well. The Shadowlands is merely another realm, just like the Emerald Dream.
I still find that hard to believe. I could see maybe starting with something and doing 50% of the work to finish compared to something like the Zandalari where they started with night elves and maybe put in 25% more work on the animations to make it feel special. Then other allied races being 99% the same.
I still feel like I’m playing an orc when running around on my Kultiran. The females share the same development path as orcs and vrykul. The male feels like both of those as well. Since the animations are also used for Rexxar, it wouldn’t surprise me one bit, still feel like it’s part of why we got the upright posture for orcs, it was a path along the way to making the updated Rexxar/Kultirans.
Starting at 0 when there’s something else that could be drastically modified could save a lot of time which is important in business.
Sure it’s possible they started at 0, but seems very unlikely when they feel so orc-like. Lots of modifications does make it feel a bit different though. I’d still quite like to see the rig used for Vrykul. Scale them up to the “Flagon of Mead” toy size.
They’re sure making good use of the two animations sets in Shadowlands though, been seeing the kultiran set all over the place. A few places for the Zandalari too.
I mean the male maldraxxi gladiators look a bit like Kultirans but are a fairly modified ogre animation set. Which would be nice if it meant work was being done.
Mok’nathal would still be a great addition as well, I’d quite like to play one.
Really need an art team who just does cosmetics and allied races and such. Players would enjoy it.
No Saberon? They’d be epic rivals to fight the worgen.
Alliance:
- High Arakkoa
- Lightforged Undead
- Sethrak
Horde:
- San’layn
- Forsaken Night Elves
- Saurok
I’d have to go Jinyu/Ankoan (gotta have a fishy shammy!) Broken and Furbolgs for the Alliance. Ogres, Taunka, and Tuskarr for the Horde
Truth has been spoken.
There’s no real culture to them. As fun as it’d be (and I guess they could add some lore to support them), they’re no different to gnolls or kobolds and would just draw more furries into the Horde.
And I think the Horde’s suffered enough after vulpera brought in Kero and the rest of the zoo crew.
I would consider actually making a horde character if they got saberon
I’d be happy just to get Claws of Shirvallah back. And maybe a Worgen-exclusive glyph that lets them go feral without shapeshifting.
Ethereals. Would be awesome.
I would main a Saberon in a heartbeat
My favorite pick for a new race.
We need a vampire race on horde side. Venthyr or just flat out San’layn customizations for BE.
