Steam for example and all other game clients allow you to use payment methods such as Gcash visa which works fine, i’ve used it there thousands of times before, also on gcash, we have amex virtual cards and also the physical visa, but for some odd reason you don’t seem to accept any of them, why is that ?
It is the largest payment app and solution in the country, more than 100m people use it.
Last month i had to resort to use a international card just to be able to subscribe since i refuse to buy it from less reputable sources. However that is not an option i have this month, since i never use it normally.
Not having proper payment methods like some amateur indie company is a really good way to lose money long term.
This support article discusses their accepted payment methods.
As mentioned in the article, the easiest way to see what can be accepted currently is to attempt to make a purchase and check the Pay With options.
Accepted Payment Methods
Updated: 4 weeks ago
What payment methods are available to you depends on your currency and account country. The easiest way to find out if the payment method you want to use is accepted for the purchase you want to make, is to try to buy the item you want and see what payment methods are available in the Pay With dropdown. New payment methods are added frequently.
The following payment methods can be used for most purchases in the Battle.net Shop, World of Warcraft subscriptions, and in our in-game shops:
Cards without a CVV are not accepted on our platform.
Some payment methods, like Battle.net Balance, cannot be used to set up recurring subscriptions. For World of Warcraft, you can buy Game Time instead.
In-game purchases inside our mobile games use your Apple App Store, Google Play, or Amazon Appstore account, and are limited to the available payment methods for those platforms.

Thanks for the reply, but my card does have a CVV, the message i get when i try to add it as a payment method.
An error occurred.
I have tried to do it on two different browsers.
I took the time to look online for answers and i could find a lot of gcash users trying use their card with the exact same error “an error occured”, so this is clearly not a user issue, let me know if you want sources of this, very easy for me to provide.
Have you tried it via a different internet connection, such as phone data versus wifi or vice versa?

I’m trying the phone now, the message i get on Paypal “we could not authorize that card” on both the virtual amex and physical visa.
My international mastercard works without any issues, but can’t use that again.
My amex virtual card finally went through after trying it continously on both sub and expansion, it’s funny this coincided with GCASH discontinuing amex on their platform.
Since i’m an expat and still have my danish international card in The Philippines, i’ll make sure there’s enough money on the card next month after i’m done with transactions since Blizzard does not like these third world payment platforms.
the region of issued card must also match the region registered to the account
