As an unapologetic Elf hater, my favorite part of the lore is Shadowlands dealing with the Elf Shishkebap.
It is simply the most comic disrespect and demoralization of an Elf entire race made by the game itself. Lets recap it:
First, you make the racial leader the picture of a crazy witch who went from a balanced wise leader to a babbling drooling deranged self harming stupid, long before the first attack to the tree even started. And in that, not only she prevented (i know, but it is funny anyway) one ally to be acquired, but delivered another already allied faction to be drown into her idiotic rhetoric with her, resonating the already idiotic crazy from yet another ally (Genn).
If you really take notice of the WHOLE story, you would know that no matter how much Sylvanas did the wrong things for the wrong reasons about Gilneas, there are a lot of the forsaken people who were killed or sent to death after being driven out from their lands by the Gilneans. Or those who actually were Gilneans before all the wall crazy bitter king delivered his son to death by stubborn, and blamed everyone.
After the whole ordeal, and you “Alliance” can say whatever you want, but in a realistic interpretation, Teldrassil might never had been burned if they had not made a point in not only shelter the Worgen, but wage their war as partners in what they were doing. Also the bitterness and intentional meddling with affairs of the Horde in general because of specific problems with Sylvanas, would make all that more likely things would go down as they did.
Not happy in seeking retribution and had instead her tree burned (with the blessing of her beloved Elune, which is the main point), the already half baked crazy burger of a leader would willingly go through a ritual that might have killed her and certainly killed others before her, and those aiding her in going through it, while slaying unrelated members of the perceived enemy that had nothing to do with the act itself, went on to provoke even more of the ire of an enemy that had already proven capable of bringing the sorrow to the rest of the people not only of the Alliance, and like Varian death, the Night Warrior actually served nothing, as if you really look at things objectively, it changed nothing in terms of victories or stopping Sylvanas, the forsaken, or the Horde, in any shape or form.
And after all that, after all the madness, the idiotic actions, the allies dead, dying and homeless, and all the people slain, and all the misery not only her people suffered, you watch this:
I hated participating in anything Night Fae related, because it is bogus and a bad ripoff of D&D Fae, but this moment made me actually laugh in my chair.
