I LOVE snakes.

And Sethrak are the first serpentine race in any game, that are, in my opinion perfect. I adore them and their design. They’re really well done.

Snakes are kind of really important to me… Got me through some really rough patches in my life. That’s part of why I want them. Add that aspect to a game I love. Horde or Alliance. I don’t care when it comes down to it. I just want to see them added.

That’s why I need them.

Having seen void elves I say that it is pure stubbornness on Blizzards part not to allow playable highelves. The lore for alliance highelves are already there. Any excuse about “visibility at a glance” died at the birth of the voidelves and indeed already the dual faction pandaren. not that it really matter that much to me but it is an observation.

But with. BIGGER. BEARDS!

instead of these stupid sethrak with there big fat head , how about saurok.

Nice to see the usual suspects hijacking threads.

Arakkoa, the tall, winged ones. I don’t care which faction they get put on.

I like alot of the race options that D&D offers and part of me really wishes there were more WOW equivalents for some of those races.

My top picks would be Warforged, Half-Elves, and Aasimar.

I really hope Kyrians could be an Alliance allied race since they are an excellent reflavoring of Aasimar. The ethereal and transcendental nature makes them otherworldly and interesting.

As for Warforged, Mechagnomes are too goofy and I would rather have something that plays more to the artificial construct with sentience vibe then the cyborg fantasy mechagnomes have.

For Half-Elves, their was some interesting Warcraft III concept art for them and the Silver Covenant could be an interesting way to introduce them into the Alliance. I really like the idea of having a race with one foot in two different worlds and the concept of finding a place in society.

Yes!

They were actually planned for WCIII but were sadly cut.

Rangers were originally meant to be a hero unit of the Human Alliance. They were described as such:

These fearless Half-Elven women are masters of survival and wilderness exploration. Trained to hunt down renegade Orcs and Trolls in the wildlands of both Azeroth and Lordaeron, the Rangers are a force to be reckoned with. Being Half-Elven, the Rangers are often avoided by members of the High Elven stock. However, these crafty females make their home in the wilds and seldom feel the need for the distractions of camaraderie. Rangers are expert marksmen with the longbow and carry specially weighted bows and magically enhanced arrows.

Rangers were eventually cancelled as a hero unit. Most of their abilities were given to the Priestess of the Moon instead, and their model was reused for the in-game appearances of Sylvanas Windrunner and Jennalla Deemspring. Shandris Feathermoon uses a night elf version of the Ranger. When the The Frozen Throne expansion was released, Cold Arrows was given to Naga Sea Witches, renamed to Frost Arrows and given a new icon.

There was also some stuff on them in the RPG, though it’s been sadly decanonized.

I want a Ley race in Vashj’ir. That would be quite fun…

Humans male with the female orc/male zandalar body types.

None. They have exhausted the idea.

If I could get one and not have it locked behind a rep grind / arbitrary release date it would be Naga. But if I have to grind to unlock it, and or wait months to unlock it after its advertised as a feature then no thanks.

There are too many races though as it is and it feels like we are adding them just to justify “allied races”.

It’s actually doable.
Some of these are currently living on Azeroth. Finding an area they’ve caused to bloom into a neat little enclave would be neat.

That would have been more than enough, but then it wouldn’t be Aunt Blizz’s default corrupted wish.

Let’s see…some I’d really like

Vrykul / Ogres
Broken-Krokul / Mok’nathal
High Elf / San’layn
Kal’dorei Worgen (Gol’dorei?) / Satyr
Man’ari
Naga

I’d say if we adventure into the cosmos to combat the void lords, we should have the Illidari start training up more of their own troops which would make Demon Hunters also able to be Fel Orcs, Broken, Naga, and Man’ari. Then perhaps as part of the factions they could bring in some of those as well. So nightborne, maybe worgen. Others that could make sense.
They swell their troop numbers in preparation to fight the Void…we could also find and encounter remnants of the Legion being controlled by various warlords who siezed power in Sargeras’s absence.

Question here is would they still be trying to kill us, or focusing on the void?

A race that could be neat and adds a fairly blank slate for visuals would be :
Aldrachi

Perhaps we encounter a clan/hold out that’s now fighting the encroaching void, or even the legion remnants. Or perhaps seeing their doom, they made a hard call and are fighting alongside some legion remnants for survival of both groups against void encroachment. This could give a story to recruiting Man’ari.

for Aldrachi, I’d say focus on the more martial classes.

Demon Hunter, Warrior, Rogue, Hunter, Warlock, Mage, perhaps Monk but give it a different vibe as they’re not of Azeroth. Aren’t against fighting their enemies “fire with fire” hence the demon hunter and warlock.

Perhaps if we were to get a void based melee class, they could be that as well. Would they have any healing classes? Void priests?

Go with more of an alien look.
There’s an art piece someone did that looks pretty good for the Warcraft style, I could see them looking something like it.

Could use an existing animation rig, or make an all new one that could be used to make other enemies or races.

Half elves are weird considering that elves are essentially mutated trolls and such are descendants of an native Azerothian species. Humans are descendants of constructs, essentially golems considering what the Vrykul are supposed to be. Constructs placed on Azeroth by alien super beings… Half elf/troll could make sense but elf/human shouldn’t work but they DO and I know of at least one half elf in the game (use high elf model thou).
