My personal opinion would be to give us Gnolls and Firbolgs as a new race that works like Pandarians so you choose which faction you want to play as out the gate or through a story quest like in the Wandering Isles, Honestly, I’m not a big fan of grinding for a new race I think it would be more fun to be able to choose them in character creation.

Vrykul we should of had in wotlk, legion, bfa or dragonflight. End of story.

The Goblins will build a new mechaniod race as servants…Gnomes will capture one of these servants and tinker about, accidentally giving one sentience. It will escape from the Gnomes to return to the Goblin laboratories and free it’s brethren and upgrade them to sentient being who will revolt against their task masters to escape to Alliance territory. There they will begin creating more of them from scraps found the Gnomish areas and Dwarven trash heaps. Very few resemble the first, much diversity developes and they gain the ability to replace their own parts to allow them to alter their looks and forms.
Eventually their adaptive abilities allow them to “Transform” into different shapes and also control smaller robotic beings or even have control over parts of their own detatched parts… Gnomes botch it again, but this time something wonderful happened…continue your own adventures in Azeroth as a

I think the notion that lots of people are going to play fish-men or whatever is way off base.

The whole “I want a pony” thing with people on this forum, asking for every race under the sun as “something I would play” when everybody knows you won’t… come on, folks.

The big ones that come to mind?

The Ethereals: you get a saavy arcane race of merchants with a truly unique look; what’s not to love?

The Botani: The ur-life race, these plant folk could represent a brand new level of “Eco-terrorism” to the horde.

The Ankoans: This could just as easily be the Jinyu, but I find the Ankoans to be way more distinctive in their looks and their strong martial tradition would make them a great addition.

Arakoa: Having these creepy Skeksis would give the players another race with a strong magic emphasis and a bit of a dark edge that the alliance could absolutely use.

For the out their pick:
Dryads: they’re synonymous with the nigh elves, they’ve been around for ages and they’d absolutely catch eyes as a pretty quadruped.
