They wouldn’t even have to make a whole new race to make me happy. I’d love to see different race variations of Forsaken.
Centaurs tho, centaurs would be so cool.

Since they came out with the unrotted options for Forsaken, now I think they should also go the other direction with completely rotted away options. Just the skeleton would be left.
This list is awesome and is only missing Murlocs. Alliance should get Murlocs. Or Grummles.
Horde should get Ogres. It’s 2022, and the Kul Tiran skeleton exists. Where are they?
Personally my choices are Tuskarr, Ogres, Sethrak, Vyrkul and San’layn for new core races.
For Allied Races my biggest hopes and dreams is finally Wildhammer Clan get the spotlight they deserve and branch off as a “Customisation” option for Bronzebeard and become more fully fleshed out like how they did with the Dark Iron Clan. Unique hair, beards, moustaches with more Braids, feathers, a more Wild rugged look, more tattoos and markings and Racials. Falstad and the Wildhammer Clan deserve this. They should also definitely update Falstad current Ingame model. Plus it’s a perfect opportunity to give Druids to a Dwarven Race.
Quel’dorei or High Elves can have a similar thing, a more in depth customisations making them unique more regal and get the customisations and uniqueness they deserve instead of being shoehorned into customisations options. Also great opportunity to give Paladins to an Alliance Elven race.
I know Allied Races are a controversial topic but god dammit both have been in the Alliance helping forever regardless how big or small they are. Yes I may be a little biased as the Wildhammer Clan is my favourite.
But regardless, the more races, New or Old the better, theirs no such thing as to much choices when it comes to a RPG, I’m just hoping next expansion brings fresh life to a game mostly built on nostalgia.
Honourable mention to Botani, but I’d honestly hope Resto Druids get some sort of new form an upgraded Treant Form Glyph that would be Botani or Keeper of the Grove/Dryad.
Kill it with fire.
Vrykul would also be a really cool race I would love to play.
The thread was about how the Alliance playerbase is divided on what they want from Blizzard and half of the races they ask for aren’t ones that would be popular with the Alliance as a whole, but it seems few people got that.
Of course you won’t, you just saw that it was another thread about the Alliance’s race situation and came in here to rage.
Clearly, it is, since most people don’t want to play them based on their outward appearances and many have admitted that they’d only play them if they had the option to look completely different (normal human model or emaciated Kul Tiran NPC model).

Never said anything about Alliance racials being bad, just that our next races having racials on the level of Shadowmeld and Stoneform would be preferable to what nightborne and Mag’har were saddled with.
To be honest, I haven’t really played any of the Allied Races. I’ve made and deleted Allied Races. I purchased a race change on a character to Void Elf. I haven’t actually done much with them. A few levels here… A few levels there. I did race change my troll druid to Zandalari as well but now that character is a Tauren. It is level 50 and I haven’t played it since BFA.
I would like the Ankoan version of Jinyu, Ethereal, and Arrokoan races added but I don’t have much faith that they would ever be added. Nor would I guarantee that I would actually play them. I don’t think the Alliance should be all pretty races. I think Worgen would have been more popular without their segregated starting zone.
Overall though, I’d really rather have Night Elf Paladins, Human Druids, Worgen Monks, etc…
Well Tovi said Saberon for Horde but I got mainly prickly over Blastkrizzle’s ‘not gonna happen, Horde race.’
I just want races with compelling narratives most if not all of the ARs on both the horde and the alliance don’t have that.
Take what I’m posting on rn, the narrative is that I’m part of a bunch of magic researchers that got exiled and continued their experiments until it went wrong. We then proceeded to have mastery over the void. However…when the void actually matters we’re nowhere to be seen. ??? Why the hell is that even a thing? Imagine if the forsaken weren’t a race that took a significant amount of the spotlight in WOTLK in the campaign against the Lich King. It makes zero sense.
Pandaren are treated even worse, but they are a neutral race so I won’t talk about them.
Point is if a race isn’t going to have any importance to the narrative like ever, refrain from making that race.
Development wise, blizzard placed the Alliance in a tough spot, development wise when it comes to races overall or who would fit into the faction since much of it was concentrated on the Horde.
There were a lot of options Blizzard could have looked at yet for the Alliance which they just turned a blind eye too and thought just adding races that should have been customizations was a better idea.
I would say that Blizzard should start from scratch when it comes to new races for the Alliance instead of reskins (which I personally don’t want) and give something fresh and new that we have never encountered before or that have worked with the Alliance in some capacity that isn’t some sort of Human ,“Pretty race” or force a race model that is in the game as a creature, rewrite it’s lore and give it to the alliance (aka Worgen).
As Blizzard keeps saying it’s their ego that is holding a lot of things back and until that is let go, their pride, their self centered “Die on a hill” with their development we won’t see anything brand new going to the Alliance, this also includes many players since they can’t agree what would be best suited for the Alliance.
High Elves, sure but that will never happen at this point. (Should have had it during TBC where Horde Blood Elves, Alliance High Elves)
Wild Hammer, they baked their looks into the Dwarves as customizations. Again they aren’t going to take away customizations from a race to waste a slot.
Jinyu or their cousins. Blizzard had that chance in BFA, even in MoP to make that a race playable yet somehow they just can’t get around an Aquatic race in the game?
Furbolgs. Again Blizzard had that chance and swung and missed at the plate on redoing the model.
Broken? Meh is all I can say since they would have the same issue as Ogres and until Blizzard adds those, we won’t see Broken. Again they should be more a customization at this point then waste a race slot.
And all the other minor NPC races we have encountered since 2004, Blizzard had the chance and swung and missed at the plate with them.
Blizzard needs fresh new ideas or have a fresh approach on the Alliance when it comes to the faction. 10.0 would be that fresh start, concentrate on the faction as a whole that it isn’t about the past but concentrate on the future of the faction would be a better approach when it comes to a new Alliance race. Maybe put in pitches for players to vote on, see how the community would like to see the direction of the faction.
Puss in Boots!
People still say that the Mechagnomes did not leave any negative impact on the players and yet this new topic from four hours ago already hits the top layer of /wow.
https://www.reddit.com/r/wow/comments/sw0lwt/forgot_why_i_hadnt_unlocked_mechagnomes_until_i/
Just release three prestige races and give us in return four low budget races for the Horde. Gilgoblin, Leaper Gnomes, a new Orc flavor while the Alliance gets birds, snakes and even raccoons/cats.
They can still happen and people aren’t going to stop asking for them after the Void accident they caused.
I want to play a Naga Siren.
The big problem for Mechagnomes as is for the Kul Tirans is the absolute horrible implementation and rush job to do them. The AR’s almost universally didn’t get the time to be properly created and you got minimalist choices.
Add to that the stupid decisions like no pants (they are smart enough to have bionic limbs but pants are a no go apparently) and you have a race (that i have one of but cant bring myself to play/make more of because there is only one racial armor set) that no one cares to play regardless of the potential. But hey i guess having one toon as a Mechagnome that has one outfit to wear works for me but it’s clear that Blizzard like with most of the AR’s created them and then dropped them off and did almost nothing with them. Then of course the whole “yes we will continue to do customizations for races” followed by “nope, all done with 9.0 changes” followed by “game is broken and losing subs, break glass and provide more easy customizations for a few AR’s that are easy wins” and you have races that are almost perma sidelined.
Kul Tirans aren’t much better and i would love to slap the clown in the face who though making fat people was a smart idea. Blizz Dev- “hey guys i know what will work…let’s make playable Santa Clause and Mrs. Clause as a race” and then when you think about ALL that had to be done and had to take place and all the people that had to sign off on it to make that happen and they STILL went ahead and did it…just mind boggling. AND THEN the coup de grace of giving them some amazing heritage armor to go along on fat people, like wtf.
That reminds me…Heritage armor, another great idea that has had massive uneven implementation. Blood Elves get AMAZING armor, Worgen get a dinner outfit that took an afternoon to create. Still waiting on races how many years later to get Heritage armor?
Dude, Vrykul are diferent from humans. They are giant and savages. There is no reason for alliance be mocked by horde because of it, in fact is the opposite, many horde players would be jelaous, because they clains the Vrykuls fits more Horde.
I’m a viking/norse mitology fan, they are my favorite wow race, and i don’t care about the horde or other alliance players thinks about them.
I wanna them in Alliance, the Valarjar ones. Vrykuls are the progenitors of the humans and the Valarjar have enough reasons to join Alliance.
SSSSSethraliss save us all.
What, you don’t think 30 years of learning from the Draenei wouldn’t include where you go to relieve yourself?
High Elves.
