Pugging as a tank.
When I see my chain lightning reaching something off-screen.
Oops…
Not to be “that guy” but anytime anyone says anything in raid chat is a red flag.
It’s almost always followed up by them boasting about how good they are or how the game sucks
The only thing that really makes me nervous in WoW is playing in group content. I guess that’s because I’m not that secure in my skills, which I know are lacking. I’m often told I did really good, with my hunter and DH I usually top the dps or come in second.
I have been thoroughly enjoying doing Korrak’s on my alts. It’s a real exception to the normal nervousness that I have had in larger group content. I like the pvp part of it, although I don’t enjoy normal pvp.
Oooo that’s a Friday the 13th too.
We’re screwed
Just put them on ignore. You won’t hear from them again. Or like Msinformed said, tell them you’re old, and give them all fake “facts” about you. Sometimes it’s fun to play with people. I love having fun with some of the telemarketers.
Using starfall or typhoon in a dungeon with multiple levels is probably the most significant.
“Hmm, anyone else notice that name plate downstairs suddenly jump back a few feet, and start running towards us?”
Finding out the Tank is from Mal’Ganis server.
Getting lost in caves. I’m a lot better at them now, probably because of the maps, but when it would get bad, I’d hearth out.
This is a problem you also can’t solve by tanking since dummy-DPS are sprinting ahead pull everything.
Mirrors IRL
Players from Ragnaros, Azgalor, and Quelthalas joining the group.
But also spiders and snakes.
I have this same issue with deep water. The diving bell events in Assassins Creed Black Flag basically sent my anxiety through the roof. I couldn’t do more than one of them.
Really weirdly though, I love questing in Vashj’ir. Don’t know why that doesn’t have the same effect…
Heights. And bridges. Really high bridges are the worst.
Bridges. especially ones over water IRL. In WoW I guess bg healing which is why I don’t even try anymore.
I used to be really shy and played this game for like, 3 years before even joining a group for a dungeon bc i was scared I’d get yelled at
Someone had to warn you. Might as well be me … I think we are being lied to and its gonna hit the planet…
I love Vash too. For me, the nervousness stems from the paranoia of not knowing what’s underneath me when in water. I can’t even swim in lakes. In Vash though, you can see everything, and it’s almost like a flying zone with bubbles.
Yep, that’s exactly it - Vashj is nice and bright, you can see what’s there. It is a bit like flying without a mount. And I hear you about lakes - same here. If I can’t see the bottom, I’m not getting in. Nope.
