Stuck between DH or DK… I like edge lords and my God is havok’s dps rotation fun with inertia
Back my old main of when I started back in October of 2005
<----- this lock right here. Demo mostly because Diablostist Demo is a hard lock.
I usually main tank in pug m+, but I like to have a main healer and a dps toon. I also like to switch up from expac to expac to keep things fresh.
as a mid-tier pug m+ player, I usually try to get a toon to 2k rating and then switch toons, so I don’t really have a main-main.
TL;DR:
leaning towards BDK, resto shaman, arcane mage. probably level them up in that order
tank main:
honestly not sure yet. I am considering the following:
Blood DK: i love the mob control (grip and grasp) and self sustain. the anti-magic shell now applying to party members is a great change. battle rez is clutch. I haven’t played beta, but I think their hero talents look pretty cool and flavorful.
Prot warrior: this is just the iconic tank. i love the mobility and smacking things in the face with my shield. It is the best tank, in my opinion for smoothing out damage intake (brew might be better in this regard, but I just don’t like the feel of brew). leaping and shouting is just fun. i made a borderlands transmog with mounts that play up the manic nature of warrior tanking that has been fun in its own right
Vengeance DH: I started playing this in shadowlands because of the mobility. It became my main in S1 DF. the double sigils build was OP, of course. I was never uber at it, but the mobility and class flavor are enjoyable. even with just one set of sigils, mob control is still superior to all tanks except for maybe BDK. again, haven’t played beta, but fel-scarred hero talents just fit the class fantasy. if you are going to edge lord, edge lord hard.
Guardian druid: I love the group support bear brings. mark of the wild, off-heals, stampeding roar, battle rez. moonfire is a great tool for pulling ranged mobs. lots of defensives to rotate. there is the flavor of shapeshifting in non-dungeon PVE and gathering benefits to flight form, especially with skyriding. being a moonbear in mage tower form is pretty cool
Healer:
resto shaman for sure. I have played my shaman since 2007 as heals. I love the shaman healing kit. I just wish we had our full totem package back. the new shaman buff is good, but it should come from a totem (healing stream maybe?)
DPS:
I was thinking dusting off the afflock. I have also played my warlock since 2007, but I have wanted to get better at arcane mage. mage might be my pick in this spot.
Fury Warrior is best warrior, I’ll never go Arms
Yeah, they seem really bent on lowering Hunter class numbers.
I might pick up my Monk instead to level first.
This has been my main since BC, i don’t think it’ll be changing anytime soon.
I always start with my mage. She’s been my main since creation, and then secondary was one of the classes I was enjoying that filled a role the guild needed. That matters less now that I’m alone though
Evoker.
Love the mobility.
Solo is fun.
Heal spec is super fun too, the one i enjoyed the most in so many years
Aug/devo evoker with lock Alt.
I think I’ll play two characters: Hunter & Warlock.
So, the way it plays is kinda… weird. It feels kinda weak when solo play.
Diabolist and Scalecommander
Nothing, they announced renown for TWW and I am out.
I haven’t been able to decide. I’m returning from classic after not really playing shadowlands or dragonflight much so figure ill try and find a guild first then see what they need. I have a 70 of every class ready and waiting. If i can’t find a decent guild by launch then ill probably roll like a random wheel with tank, healer, ranged and melee on it and run either a blood dk, resto shaman, arcane mage or windwalker monk depending on what lands.
← this one! idc if lightsmith hpal isn’t meta or whatever, i like the idea of yeeting hammers to friendlies
At least recent ones when I finally got around to trying a Warrior. But she will have a strong Warband around her, namely a fire mage, prot pally and…YTBD healer, either a Holy Priest or MW Monk. It would have been the Monk hands down if they hadn’t killed its most unique and fun talent - Essence Font.
It’s between my mage and my warrior, tho they’re kind of co-stars at this point. Don’t know…it’s feeling kind of magey right now with the Kirin Tor taking the lead.
Think I’m finally done being a healer and going to run Demon Hunter and Warlock as my two mains.
Same here regarding healing. Too much stress and blame game, it’s just not what I want out of gaming right now.
BM hunter as my main main, and a smattering of others for fun like warlock and rogue.
Will always be dk.
