What is your language

I speak Canadian which is a superior version of the Murcan dialect. If I had the choice though, I’d probably choose Welsh or Geordie as my accent.

Canadian is textbook English. I like it most.
Had a Scot visit for a week. I couldn’t properly understand her until the day she left.

I once tried to study cockney slang for a story I was working on years ago.

That stuff is bonkers lol

Die Grammatik ist in Englisch rückwärts.

It’s back to front, but feel not disheartened, I know many Germans that also suck at their own language, for they too find it a little obtuse.

Gendered languages are cool but I find them unnecessarily complicated to be frank.

I was an intern at my English department at school. Normally, the teachers had to record stuff for the flash ‘games’ I was making. But they could take days. I just asked friends. So I got them assorted accents and dialects and they were stoked! Ausie, southern 'murican, British… you name it.
The students how ever… weren’t too happy.

I love the Scottish accent, but it can be quite challenging at times. It’s mostly the unfamiliar expressions that catch me up. Interesingly, I sometimes find that Dutch speakers who roll their Rs with the tip of their tongue (as opposed to at the back of the throat) sometimes sound a bit Scottish when they speak English

I can do your G and your Ch and they are awesome. They’re part of what gives Dutch it’s fantastic, distinctive sound. I love the sound of your language

I am from Nebraska, so my language is “American Preferred Broadcaster Vanilla Sounding English.”

In my language “Kypookins” means that “Pookins”, kind of a cutesy name you might give a puppy (or an endearing nickname), was already taken; So my nightelves were Kylathia and Kybeorie, so “Kypookins” was so people in guild chat would remember who I was.

The “pookins” choice was because DKs were new, with a gnome girl with pink pigtails seeming so silly for one!

Irish, with an english-ish name, Toon inspired by British horror lore. I mainly speak the language of drunken punches to the face… (just a bit of Irish bar humor, in reality I don’t drink)

English for me. Tried taking Spanish during school but sucked at it(can’t roll my R’s at all, among other things). So failed that hardcore, then took French and was pretty good at it. My french teacher loved how I spoke French with my accent, lol. Southern twang and all that.

Alas, I’ve forgotten most of it, wish I kept at it.

This is so freaking nerdy but back when I was like. 12. I had a lot of free time and learned the al bhed language in final fantasy 10 and 10-2. Along with some of the dinosaur planet language from Starfox Adventures. That knowledge has faded over time except for still knowing how to say “shut up” in al bhed or “ok” for the dinosaur language

That is amazing.

You are amazing. I loved FFX and X-2(though I’m sad I never got 100% for the good ending in X-2). But learning or even attempting to learn Al Bhed would make my head explode.

I learned how to say ‘I am sick’ in french to get out of french class.
Je suis Malade.

I got that ending once. Never again.

I freaking hate Sphere Break SO MUCH

My whole thing was um, I missed some things so the only way for me to get 100% was to go into the ruin things. I was pretty bad at the game and kept coming close but I’d always end up getting into a bad fight with the Malboros things(or whatever, those stupid plant things that gave you like every ailment possible) and it’d quickly turn uglier until a game over.

Legit think my save file was like 99.9% or something. I loved that game though, Dresspheres and all the cute outfits were my jam! And admittedly, in FFX, I probably had like 500+ hours saved just from playing Blitzball, lol. >_<
