those who are official and licensed dog/cat breeders make sure only the healthiest ones breed any genetic defects or unhealthy traits are not allowed in the official breeding. the issue is most of the purebreeds out there are not bred from officially licensed ones as such the health problems come in.

Mine loves to try to curl around your neck if you’re sitting in a chair/sofa
or sprawl on your lap
then ball up to half her size when cold (blankie plz)
had to be trained to not jump up on the counter just because she can
sleeps 23 hours a day
insane the other hour
likes to stand on, or lay across, the back of the sofa to look out the window
and that’s just her cat-like weirdness

I’ve been happy with American shorthair kitties. Ragdolls sound interesting. Overall, I do like any breed. All cats are wonderful.
All of the cats I’ve had over the years have had a tabby coat pattern. 2 of them were gray tabbies and 1 was a brown tabby. I miss having a cat. I’m at a point in my life where it doesn’t make sense for me to get a new one, so I’m holding off on getting a kitten for now.

There are breeds out there that shouldnt exist they so poorly fit for survival without humanities help/assistance.
The breed is created to suit some amusement thing with human beings, not for the best interest of the well being of the animal.
