This is my paladin. He is just waiting for DF

This doesnât really help your case, Iâd say.
The main tank I run with in my guild is a prot pally, so devo is always covered by him. PvP is a ridiculous combination of boring, frustrating, and toxic, so I never do it. I do usually wait until 5 hp before starting my burst, usually 3 gcds. He uses divine toll and final stand a lot which helps, but it still happens.
if you guys have a rogue or hunter then it could help your buddy maintain aggro with their trick attack etc.
I usually put concentration Aura on when I see another paladin already has devotion Aura. In case we get interrupt or silenced.
So why not show your main paladin? you are accusing people of probably not maining a ret paladin and yet do not post yours lol. An obvious troll sigh. Make a lvl 1 troll warrior and use it to post might be better haha
Wow he was right you really are arguing in bad faith. Solve class problems by bringing another class, just wow. Iâm gonna mute this thread now.
Just mute EladrinâŚhelps a lot. xD
good point
Wow suggestions of using tools like tricks of the trade in a raid to help tank maintain aggro is now arguing in bad faith lol. what a logic.
Good lord, youâre dense. I said that you were diverging from the truth, with your insistence that for yourself âand a lot of others, paladin since legion has been becoming more funâ. Prevarication.
There simply ARENâT âa lot of othersâ; it is the opposite that is true, and has been, FOR YEARS. Period. It is plain to see, JUST in these forums alone.
The rally cry of the lost, who has nothing substantial to say, but feels the need to say something. As Iâve said earlier, you havenât the legs for the stance youâre attempting.
This is adorable! When I say the statement: Paladins arenât happy, and I point out a variety of social outlets that Paladin players have chosen to vent their frustrations, that is proof, no matter how much you dislike it. Multiple, easy to access threads, spanning years.
When you say the statement: âFor me and a lot of others, paladin since legion has been becoming more funââŚthere are only seven or eight of you that Iâve seen recently who like where DF is going with Paladins. Most of you are either new or returning, and only one of you makes the Legion claim.
You cannot see the forest for the trees, and conversation with you appears to be going nowhere.
Ah again you based stuff on what you only see on the forums. So just because only a few of us who likes paladins now decided to post on forums you assumed we are all that likes it and the rest automatically agrees with you and do not enjoy paladin? sigh
Yeah I know how that feels. I was hoping theyâd do more to improve out survivability or our mobility as those are generally the most frustrating. Itâs nice that we can have both unbreakable spirit and cavalier now but itâs not much. If we didnât have to choose between SoV and DP weâd be in a much better place even with the longer cd on DP.
Ret aura needs to go back to being a passive or better yet just need to go away completely.
I welcome this to be honest. From a PvE perspective, choosing between ST and AoE in M+ specifically cripples the usability of a paladin. We are already limited in our capabilities of why to bring a pally but only being viable for one specific type of fight is a major hindrance.
More i play ret paladin in wrath classic, more i know that ret in retail is trash
I love how he uses the DK tree as an example of another class that has stuff in their tree that isnt so greatâŚ
As a paladin, please give me the DK tree. New passive defenses, new combinations of mobility spells and active defensesâŚ
Paladins get nothing new. Perfect example right there.
Hey! Contrarian DHâŚgo look at the DF class feedback forums and come back here and tell us for which class itâs been the longest since a blue post.
EDIT: If you had actually bothered to read what people were saying, youâd know that most people donât dislike the way Paladin plays now, but are rather disappointed in the fact that we got nothing new, none of our existing problems were solved (heck not even an attempt at solving them), and theyâre actually worse in DF.
A bluepost why they think the things we perceive as problems arenât in their eyes would have gone a long way. Same with the decision why ret Divine Protection has to be 2min. A bluepost saying âwe did that out of these particular reasonsâ would have been decent behaviour for a human being. Otherwise all their decisions seem arbitrary.
If youâre the kind of player that only does world quests and Lfr then you probably donât mind or donât care if the spec remains how it is, it doesnât matter because not having appropiate updates that other classes/specs are getting wonât make a difference to you, youâll still kill your world quest mobs, youâre still guaranteed to complete Lfr. If you get new abilities you can choose not to use them and it wonât matter.
For the rest of us, who want to either raid, pvp or m+ (I asume thatâs lots of us), itâs not the same:
Raid: From what Iâve seen ret is middle of the pack but since you donât get any new buttons while other specs do, the chances of those specs being brought into the raid increases while yours decreases.
Pvp: Here it gets a lot worse, many specs are getting all sorts of defensives, stuns, portals, mobility buffs, retribution gets almost nothing and is stuck with its already lacking 7 year old toolkit.
M+: Here itâs basically the same story, if dmg isnât completely nuts people wonât bother inviting you because there are other specs with more tools that can make a more significant contribution.
For that one guy defending the current state of affairs, not getting anything doesnât affect you and even if we did you can choose to ignore any change and it wonât matter to you, not getting anything potentially screws A LOT of us. Have a good day.
Exactly, it feels to me like weâre getting paid with our own money. It seems like the current toolkit is just being moved into the talent tree (where some of them arenât even as good as their live versions) and in some cases youâre forced to choose between one or the other. Iâm not in the beta, so Iâll wait to cry after DF releases (and I doubt itâs going to be that bad), but what Iâm seeing now doesnât get me excited for DF.
I think the main problem is the issue weâve had for several expansions, paladins still pay the hybrid tax, meanwhile close to half a dozen new classes that have multiple roles have been added which donât pay this tax. And i think this applies to all three of our specs - is the design philosophy going to be a speedy but lighter damaging/healing melee, or a slow, juggernaut that deals big damage/heals and can go toe-to-toe with anyone? Right now it seems like weâre stuck in this limbo between these two.
Well, its only 1 person that take care of each classe⌠ONE dev for class.
And the dude thats responsible for paladin clearly dont know what to do.
Like ppl usually says here in my country: âHe is more lost than a candy in the toothless mouthâ, if it sounds logical lol
