it seems highly recommended but I’ve survived since BFA without it. what exactly does it do?
generally, it’s used to better position things in your UI to make keeping up with various cooldowns and abilities easier. you can shift where your eyes are looking from your action bars to wherever you want.
additionally, you can just do a lot.
Its a highly customizable addon that provides a framework for displaying information in game. Such as cooldowns, boss abilities, procs. Stuff like that.
YouTube would give you more accurate information Than This Thread probably will.
Just being real with you. You literally could have typed in weak auras explained in YouTube and Had your information
Since its a social game I generally prefer to interact with the community, also sometimes people can give you additional info from personal experience that a you-tube video wont. So I generally do both.
I mainly use it to flash icons in the middle of my screen where my eyes are rather than checking the buff bar waay up here squinting at the tiny blurred squares to see if the proc i need to be aware of actually went off, and stuff like how many stacks of iron fur do i actually have on me and is it up for use asap?
Its more or less a customizable UI overhaul.
You can pick and choose what you want to see, how its displayed and where its displayed, to better suit your needs/desires.
I wouldn’t recommend it. I’ve never used it so I may be biased but once you start with addons it changes you. I like playing with my friend but can’t help notice when he’s last in dps now. The sims was fun but once you cheat and type in motherlode it feels hollow. Once you use weak auras you prolly can’t go back.
Weak auras may help you, heck it’s prolly even help me. But I wouldn’t recommend downloading another thing to train your eyes on that’s not native to the game.
a successor to power auras .
I partially agree, I used to be your friend, but got better as time goes on. Also theres current metas that always rotate.
whats his class?
This time around dk, was pally. He’s still my favorite buddy to play with cause he doesn’t use any add ons or reads guides such as icy veins or wow head. It’s nice playing with somebody who just in it for the love of the game. Full disclosure, he’s not always bottom on dps but when/if hes 1st or 2nd I’ll congratulate him, I couldn’t never tell him the dark truth of the bottom.
well hopefully ill gain ur respect by saying, I was that way for bfa entirely. I kept getting booted due to my damage. But I never read rotation guides.
I will look up meta builds and that’s about it. Then ill roll with what I get and figure out the rotation for myself.
That’s generally been my extent of research in the game. It took awhile but I never even really need macros and I’ve gotten top or second place in leaderboards plenty of times.
I do like pvp more than pve but enjoy both. I’ll just prioritize pvp first then pve after for my class.
In that regard ill do a quick check online to see what class is D tier and stay away from it. for example your friend is DK and that’s actually S tier this expansion in pve but in pvp frost DK is D tier in pvp. super weird that the board is flipped that much in an expansion and I dont think I’ve ever seen that in any other expansion for a class.
