The original Desolace was terrible. Especially because you were still walking at that point.
For me Blades Edge mountains was awful.

Classic- Desolace, Deadwind Pass
TBC- Hellfire Peninsula
WotLK- nothin’, I even genuinely like Borean Tundra
Cata- Uldum and Vahj’ir both have dull empty areas but overall look pretty cool.
MoP- probably Dread Wastes due to all the black-and-white Sha corrupted areas
WoD- none, though from above the densely-packed trees makes Spires of Arak look boring. Once in the shadows under the canopy it looks much cooler.
Legion- ANTORAN WASTES
BFA- none, though Mechagon looks small and is dull away from the ruined techno city area
SL- none, hate the Maw but it’s supposed to be hell. Actually like the aesthetic of Maldraxxus
DF- none
TWW- none, Isle of Dorn is very bland but hardly ugly

Honestly, Un’goro is god tier compared to a few.

The thing is all of the old world zones work as designed. Desolace is supposed to look desolate. Feralas is supposed to be Feral. Un’goro Crater is supposed to be the Hidden Jungle where dinosaurs mysteriously exist.
But Eversong Woods just doesn’t do it for me. It’s run-down glory is not run-down enough for me, and too glorious for me. The aesthetic just doesn’t seem to match up with the zone.

Ungoro is just dated. For its time it is actually a pretty good zone.
Zareth mortis is the worst. It is so tacky. I’ve seen more appealing art at a trailer park. The worst capstone to the worst storyline in WoW ever.

Teldrassil (post-BfA) and Darkshore (post-Cata) are in a bad state as well and should be rebuilt.
Perhaps the Night Elves should rebuild Darnassus with stone this time, like Suramar, and invest into a fire department.
