The only reason I wouldn’t want it to become the first int based tank, is because warlock got dark apotheosis back and became the first int based tank. And in that scenario, I’d hope evoker became the second int based tank.
Only kink in the hose there is the fact that Vengeance demon hunter is exactly DA Demo with the singular exception of Agility rather than Intelligence. You basically can’t name a Dark Apotheosis ability that didn’t just get wrapped into Vengeance in one fashion or another, plus extra tools/mobility/CC in addition.
It’s basically Schrodinger’s bummer for me. On one hand, I played nothing but Demo during Pandaria specifically because of Dark Apotheosis. On the other hand, I know full well exactly where the playstyle is nowadays, I just choose not to play it (chiefly because I played nothing but Vengeance all through Legion).
Realistically though, we’ll all just be getting a second DPS spec to go with Dev, so we can all pick one and “ew gross” over the other like the Denny’s in town. Fingers crossed it’ll turn out a tank, but I big doubt it will be.
Like I mentioned in my post, you’re attacking a specific example that has absolutely zero to do with what I was saying. An example obviously means there is potential for a similar mechanic. Not that I was suggesting a specific thing which I have mentioned multiple times but of course room-temperature IQs will just focus on specifics.
Room-temperature IQ OP will make a specific point and call others Room-Temp IQ for arguing said Point.
No wonder you’re a Paladin Player.
But sure let me come up with an Idea of how a Support Spec could be refined and then argue my own Idea as if you came up with it.
You remind me of people telling me transmog would never happen because it would “destroy the game” “you can’t have cosmetic unlocks! then we can’t see peoples gear in pvp! it would ruin the game!”. You can really see the intelligence of someone by them using words like “never”. People also said player housing would ‘never’ happen. In fact, I saw people such as yourself screaming that a support spec would “never be introduced”, and that illidari would “never happen because we have warrior already”. It’s not a smart idea to state something with absolute certainty when you don’t know the future and anything could happen.
Yeah, funny how i never used “never” anywhere in my sentence, all i said was that Balancing a Support is a fine line between being so good it will become necessary or being considered to weak to ever be brought.
I’m not entirely sure where you actually read my OP as “Blizzard can never balance Aug” or anything like that.
For someone talking about intellect you kinda lack basic reading comprehension, no offense.
