A) most of the posts in that thread are from like 10 people
and
B) popular on the forums means nothing in the real world, 2.8k posts vs 2-3+ million players.
What is the general feeling about Fresh TBC servers?
That almost all of the people pushing for it just want boosting gone. No one actually cares about a fresh server once they level their character thereâŚthe server is just a useless ghost town that people xfer off of.
You realize that this forum is the place where players are least likely to ask for fresh servers, right? People who frequent the forums are anomalies. The vast majority never post here, let alone spend any significant amount of time. So who does?
Most forum posters tend to be more hardcore. Hardcore players tend to have a bunch of 60s, lots of gold, lots of investment into the game. Therefore not very likely to want to start over. The fact there is such a huge demand for fresh on the forums is, quite frankly, astounding.
The casual masses, who a fresh start would benefit the most, donât even post here. So if that silent majority was added the demand would be even more overwhelming. The irony is that the people most likely to play on a fresh server are the least likely to come here and ask for it.
Besides all that, you continue to say word for word exactly what Wall of No posters said for years. Itâs amazing the anti-fresh people donât see that. Youâre posting these arguments on a forum that exists only because those arguments turned out to be meaningless. The irony is almost suffocating.

Iâm going back to my old server.
I have nothing against fresh servers, I even think they should do them.
They just donât make fiscal sense.
Then they go back to their original server and see a bunch of boosting and hyperinflation and they go back to Fresh.
Boosting is going to happen just as much on fresh.
It theoretically wouldnât be allowed at least for a time.

You really think blizzard is going to ban pally/mage boosters? If you do I have a really nice bridge to sell you.
They wonât even make that rule, thatâs just a community rule.
Fresh is the flavor of the month for the attention deficit crowd.
Last time it was âUs players want Classic!!!â Blizz gives 'em Classic. Same dudes abandoning Classic now for TBC.

thereâs no point. More likely to see a classic fresh than tbc fresh anytime soon
Sure, they could do that, doesnât change much.
Good chance you end up with a dead server in 6-12 months as people transfer off to more populated servers.
I have nothing against fresh servers, I just donât see a reason they would do them.

We already knew paid boosting wouldnât be allowed, just like transfers to new servers werenât allowed back in TBC.
Why would I think you were talking about paid boosting when itâs guaranteed to not be allowed. If they were to do fresh.

They wont be doing any fresh. You have to roll on the existing servers. And when Wrath comes you can select if you want to go or stay in TBC era.

I think that only a small portion of the population want âfreshâ TBC servers. Some legitimately just want a new experience (and probably originally started in TBC), but most of those âFreshâ people only want it because theyâre brainwashed by a doomsayer youtuber/twitch streamer.
Its just not worth the effort. Once they give you fresh, youâll just keep asking for it. The maintenance required isnât worth the couple K players those servers will have.

Nowhere does that say paid boosting, you donât âsee a bunch of boostingâ for the most part you wonât even notice.
The only boosting youâre going to see a bunch of is âmage boost Mara 20gâ
