Has anyone thought about the idea of getting 1 or 2 fresh tbc servers.
No boosts, ect.
I think that would be fun.
Anyone else think that would be fun?

I think the vast majority of people on here (forums) want to take their Naxx gear and China gold to TBC with them… do I think they should add new Tbc servers? Yes… will they? Who knows…
it’s not happening so I am just kind of sick of all of the pleading tbh
Not enough interest, next topic.
Honestly, the idea of starting over from scratch does not sound fun at all (well, maybe 10 years from now.)
I don’t think it’ll fix anything, either. The players will screw everything up as quickly as they can.
I mean to be fair, any thread here is worth it… purely to have dissent of thought. This forum for the most part is an echo chamber filled with people who come on to the forums to discuss the game every day… not exactly the best pool of applicants for an unbiased discussion pulling from all populations of player type.
Plenty of people have opinions either way, what one person finds fun may not seem fun to you ie. a fresh server.
What also “doesn’t sound fun” is rolling fresh on a new tbc server and getting stomped by some dude in full T3 with full consumes he bought with his China gold… the average player didn’t have T3 at tbc launch and the average player now has Naxx gear.
Old Blanchy has plenty of company with all the dead horses being beaten in the forums.
Suck it up cupcake. Forums aren’t meant exclusively for content that is fresh for you.
I was asked for my feeling, I shared it. I feel they are beating a dead horse. If they want to flail away by posting these threads, that’s their option. I don’t think it will matter; but, if it makes them feel better to post these that’s up to them. Just as I’m free to post I think its a waste of time, AKA beating a dead horse.
Ah okay just expressing your whiny b side
My general feeling is that they will never happen.
Blizzard forum warriors defend Blizzard’s monitization strategy with great vigor. I hope players with lots of gold and tier 3 gear get stuck in a 10,000 player queue and have to wait 3 days to log in. I totally expect Blizzard to offer $erver tran$fer$ and “milk” these accounts for every penny they own.
Here we go
I’ll just copy-paste this on every one of these threads, I guess.
The most popular thread on the forums is asking for a fresh server option. There’s a massive demand and Blizz would be utter fools not to do it.
743 players have asked for fresh TBC servers. BUT they don’t agree on the rules. You say “no boosts, etc.”. What does the “etc” part mean? You don’t care what extra rules exist?
Blizzard does care. It cannot create “etc”. It has to create an exact set of rules.
And players can’t even agree on what rules they want. So there are not 743 player requests for one set of rules.
Some players want “fresh servers” with no boosts, or with no transfers in, or with no transfers out, or PVP, or PVE, or nonRP, or RP and/or something else. Should Blizzard create 40 new servers, each with one of those rule sets?
This. Even if we all start over players will still rush through the content, chew it up as fast as they can, then whine for another new Fresh™️ server.
If I were Blizzard I would not waste the resources.
They’ll have no choice because millions of people are going to show up for tbc and stay.
I don’t think they are going to do it tbh. It conflicts with their monetization and I think they want fresh hype for the next Classic (Vanilla) release.
I would prefer it though because fresh servers are fun and I’m starting a new character and don’t have much gold anyway. Also, gold inflation in TBC is going to be insane. No boosts would also mean fewer bots.
It’s not tea bagging people in Ellwyn Forest, but some people like it.
No kink-shaming!
How do you take your tea?
