What is the biggest atrocity the Alliance has committed?

“So guys, let’s take a break from screeching about how evil the Horde is to talk about some bad stuff the Alliance has done.”
No but the Horde

Garithos did nothing wrong.

Alliance are the good guys. Whatever that means at this point.

That’s not an atrocity, that’s just plain incompetence, leading to unintended consequences.

Varian Wrynn had more than a little bit of William Westmoreland in him, along with some Korean War-era Douglas MacArthur. Meaning, well-respected in his field overall but with a few pretty obvious “oof” moments.

The Culling of Stratholme

The Culling of Stratholme was committed by a prince and a few soldiers from the kingdom of Lorderan. The Alliance had not officially been founded yet, despite the general peace between the different city states of the humans and dwarves and elves.

I gladly stand corrected, on timeline. my bad

It was still an atrocity. And so were the orc internment camps. But none of those were technically done by the Alliance as a faction.

All these answers are incorrect.

The biggest atrocity are faction committed, is not establishing a Burger King at the old Camp Taurajo site.

Every bad thing commited by each CURRENT faction:

Alliance:
-Refusing to make peace with the horde in vanilla-wotlk. Thrall wanted nothing more than peace, but Varian wanted none of that.
-Camp Tojaro.
-Attempted Genocide of the Sunreavers.
-Capture attempt of former warchief trying to save the world and attempted murder of innocent goblins because they were witnesses.
-Breaking the ceasefire at Stormheim. (Punishment was a slap on the wrist)
-Slaying innocent fleeing civilians in Underciry at the beginning of the Seige.
-Sky Rogers mowing down defenseless warriors
-Slayed defensless shipwrecked forsaken sailors

Horde-
-Deforsation and successful conquer of Azhara.
-Attempted to conquer ashenvale for recources (to be fair the horde was starving after spending too many recources on the war against the scorge, and the night elves wouldn’t trade)
-Blowing up their own camp with a bomb made to conquer stonetalen mountains. (Punished with death. Garrosh’s first and last honarable moment)
-Captured fleeing civilians from theramore to be used for slaves of all kinds.
-Theramore
-attempted assassination of unwilling subordinates (Vol’jin getting stabbed because he wouldn’t make mogu warriors)
-Corrupting the vale of enternal blossoms
-Conspiring with the enemy (Blood elves attempted to abandoned the horde for the alliance)
-Attempted to bring orc supremacy to Azeroth
-Attempted to Enslave Valkyries
-Executed defensless explorers
-slaughterd innocent Night Elves while conquering Ashenvale
-Burning of Innocent Night Elves of Teddrisal
-Slaying innocents attempting to escape Teddrisal
-Plauging their own soldiers, then raising them has skeletons
-executing innocent Civilians (Sylvanas murdering forsaken who wanted to see their families)
-Raising undead against their will
-Running inhumane facilities for experimentation
-Blighting lands

So what was the downside to that? Why was that an atrocity?

Because they were defensless and wanted to surrender? Why did you think the night elf was so remorsed to bring out the sha? It’s a war crime

Existing, imo. :joy:

I dont have to read all comments here to come to the conclusion both factions are bad.

And people trying to justify their own atrocities by blaming the other side. In an eye for eye thing.

Did I sum up the last 394 comnents correctly?

Horde does not know atrocity. One day, the Alliance will release ‘Topper McNabb’.

‘Yes Topper. All of Thunder Bluff is one giant Hamburger’.

I may be wrong here but didn’t the horde also raid and sack Ogramire?

Electing a blonde female blood elf to be king of Stormwind.

You’re only Neutral Evil according to the pizza chart.

What is more frightening than that is the Mac & Cheese Pizza. Does anyone actually do anything that evil? It’s just
