Running as an undergeared BDK with an overgeared fistweaver was a blast. Felt like back before the item squish.
I wish that were true. If you try to tank at a “normal” pace, you’re too slow, next thing you know the dps are pulling stuff, and you have to decide if you just stand there and let people die, or try to pick up their mess. ![]()
Depends on my mood which one I do (if I tank)
From my experience, pulling more than 3 or 4 packs unless they’re all super close to each other is generally going to actually make things take more time as the time it takes to drag the mobs means mechanics will start coming out and even if the tank can easily live through them, others probably can’t and the visual clutter, lack of experience with such pulls, and lack of tools is likely going to mean the pull has to slow down due to people dying or having to play really defensively. Pulling from boss to boss is more of a flex at the cost of time in most cases even if the dungeon isn’t that hard.
Let people die, if they kick you, you’re better off without them and they’ll be stuck waiting, and you will get an instant queue.
This used to be something to aspire to. Hell I remember being amazed at a frost mage mass pulling murlocs long ago.
I don’t understand when it suddenly became a bad thing. It was a sign of a good or at least well geared player.
Moo!
I ran 2 this morning where the tank ignored the healer dying. No one cares if DPS dies, but that’s kind of what led to this post—the healers dying.
The only reason to do heroics is for the weekly. Other than the quest, it is completely irrelevant content. Pull to the boss, aoe down, and get out of there.
Dumb game? Yep. Thats what happens when entire chunks of content are farmable with ignorable mechanics in a matter of weeks, coupled with tanks being WAY too strong
Healer dying doesnt matter at all. If it wasnt random queue people would just go tank and 4 dps for these.
This wouldnt be this bad if m+ didnt spoonfeed people max gear.
in trivial content they absolutely do not, if anything in trivial content filing a spot with a healer is a waste. that spot is better filled with a dps.
I see nothing has changed in a dungeon pull ,run to the boss with mobs that will lose aggro and attack the healer and any dps, nice to know why I haven’t in one ,yet. gg.
i am yet to enter a dragonflight dungeon. Im kind of put off since i dont know the way around any of them and i will end up getting stuck behind some wall of adds while the “pro’s” run off and finish the place without me lol
It also give dps big number. Who doesn’t like big numbers?
wrong. The group as a whole decide the phase. If you have an overpower group with a crappy healer it doesn’t matter how big you pull. That healer is just there to be carried. I doubt he’ll even need to press a heal at all.
Tell Blizz to let us complete trivial dungeon quests in higher level dungeons.
Literally what?
I remember Blizzard farming, I did an RaF grind all the way to max back in Wrath off it.
I still sometimes fall back on it when I need to KO a bunch of mobs for quests or such.
Except it was the DPS and heals that started this trend of pulling extra mobs, not tanks. Tanks got tired of it and decided “ok lets just speed through the dungeon and pull all the trash to the boss.” Now DPS and Heals are complaining that it’s too much stress and they don’t like it. Careful what you wish for.
Just what this game needs, RP to slow everything down. M+ runners rejoice. Idea of the century here. Seriously have you ever run a dungeon where the RP took longer than the boss fight? That is what you are asking for.
That’s the only reason anyone else is doing the 5 a week quest.
Look. You can either: Go at a normal pace where you are pulling 1-2 packs at a time, take a 2 minute break before each boss to let you catch your breath, and complete RLP in 25-30 minutes.
OR
You can sit back and let me pull all the trash and we can down it in 6 minutes flat so you can be on to your next dungeon. As a tank, idc either way. But don’t blame tanks for the state of heroics. That’s on DPS and Heals.
The first, actually. I don’t even know what some of them really look like still because people want to pull everything at the speed of.freaking.light.
So solo the dungeons on normal? You are a warrior. You are capable of soloing every dungeon in the game right now on normal.
I noticed it became crazy this expansion too. It sucks for the healer, if DPS aren’t geared enough to survive the chaos. But it is what it is.
ive had a couple nerd dps tell me its boring and leave like i care or dont get insta ques :')
Dungeons are nothing but rush-work anyway in World of Warcraft.
I haven’t done a dungeon in a long time now, I generally find it boring, and the only entertaining thing was seeing the dps numbers go up - which usually happened at extreme heights in AoE. So more mobs = higher numbers.
I do crave new types of dungeons in MMORPGs, something more… RPG… tbh. One day it shall be, one day.
