It dropped on my 30th birthday and I won the roll.
For flying it’s the dark phoenix or the flying goblin surfboard usually but my hunter uses Invincible and my sunny yellow pally uses the TK phoenix which I got at long last.

I second this. I didn’t think it would be something I could achieve, but am so happy I did. Perfect mount for a Mage.

That’s dedication. I got mine on accident years ago, I was only farming Arthas to complete a mog set.
Thats what happened to me for Invincible, Mim’s head and the Ragnaros mounts. I got them all the run where I finished the Legendary associated with that raid.
Maybe that’s I should farm for the Daggers from Dragon Soul, the game might give me the Blazing Drake when I finish Fangs of the Father.

I’m quite fond of Midnight as my ground mount. My hunter tends to tool around on her Wooly White Rhino
As for flying mounts, Invincible is still close to my heart as is the Big Love Rocket and Tarecgosa’s Visage. My Tauren alts tend to favor the Plagued Proto Drake. My Belf, Nelf, and Nightborne alts have been rocking Alunira.
Basically every alt has a different favorite, and they change pretty often

Sky Riding- AotC Fyrakk skin for Proto Drake

yup, when I got the first purple/green one I was like “that’s it, I’m done, I’ve won the internet, I no longer require any other mounts” 
My pic was the main pic for the mount on Wowhead for a long time (but my account was perma-banned and that pic was removed).
Then in BFA I saw the Black Vicious Skeletal Warhorse and was all 
new goal unlocked!

Tough call.
Ground mount: Either Bloodfang Widow or Deathcharger’s reins (Baron Rivendere mount)
Flying mount: Onyx Netherwing Drake, Smoldering Ember wyrm or Zovaal’s Soul eater (someday i may go through the slog to get it. some day…)

Picking a favorite mount is like trying to pick my favorite car. lol I primarily play dwarves, so rams and gryphons are often my go to. The Vicious War Ram is probably my favorite ram and for a flyer I usually pick one of the newer model gryphons, choosing a color based on my mog.

i thin my favorite is still the warlock class mount.
I earned it when you had to do the quests. I also earned the green fire when it was current content.
put that together and i love my fiery green mount.
i also really like the heart of the aspects mount. it was a store purchase (half off). I bought it as soon as I knew it was going to be available for skyriding. I also find it very useful for when I tank open world dungeons like dawnbreaker so people can see where I am going (I always mark myself with a square, but still)

Yep, I’ve watched a dozen friends and guildmates just randomly get it through the years. I don’t regret the dedication, but I despise the horrible RNG.

Gotta admit - it’s a hecka useful mount. So much easier to mail alts, hit up AH when I need something. Kind of use it all the time.
But I haven’t ridden it anywhere. It’s a… stationary mount.
Mounts that you worked really long and hard to get or endure a lot of pain /cough cough Viscous War Ram will always stick out. I know WoW is a game, but I’ll always be proud of myself for getting the Violet Proto-Drake upon completing the achievement What a Long, Strange Trip It’s Been /looks at achievement 2010. lol It was definitely my main mount for a while as it had a speed advantage over every other mount at the time. Think it was 10%.
And now Truckin’ is in my head. lol
