They are. The stuff of Vanilla doesn’t work in todays ARPG world. And for god knows what reason they’ll rework some specs, like Survival, and not others, like Disc or Shadow.

Okay, so what I came up with is:
Magic-users who use light/holy and/or shadow/void energies/power; no allegiance/worship/belief system is necessary but some do attach religious ideology to their ability to access the energies/power.
