There’s 0 incentive to play alts.
Why should anyone have to go through and entire storyline a 4th 5th 6th time in order to reach 80 renown after the first character? We need devs on generating an account wide renown update so that alts are given proper support! I don’t experience this in any other game title. I play many mmorpgs and none of them have single character post-max-level-advancement! All of them once you reach max level, provide the same process for all characters to finish these advancements. You’ve already done this with transmogs and with mounts and pets, why not non-reputation essential max level advancement like renown. There’s my two cents.

You can get the first 40 renown for just a little bit of gold and get more when you are leveling. It’s really not that bad.

For variety for myself and I am a Altoholic and do a variety of slow relaxed leveling to speed runs for fun. Now on the end game systems for Shadowlands, I Hear ya Blizzard has not done Alts any favors there

This is true. Sometimes playing another class is fun and different than your main. Like my main is spriest but when I play my DH I feel invincible LOL.

I am 9.0, 9.1, and 9.2 campaign complete on 3 warriors. I got my engi/tailor warrior, I got my herb/miner warrior, and I got my smith/jeweler warrior. The best reason to have 3 is for mission tables.

This is actually my first ever expansion with zero alts, i moved my alts out to the new area and they do some pet battles in order to help my main get to the 10k charm pet a bit quicker but they’re all like 52 or whatever from Valentines and pet battles, i doubt i’ll ever play them properly again.
It’s the systems that does it for me, i miss the days where i could kill grind or do PvP/dungeons to level up, ding and then do dungeons with my friends to prepare for raids, now you can’t play an alt properly unless you’re neck deep in a handful of systems that i have zero interest in doing more than once.

I like my alts for pvp reasons.
I don’t want to shoot a bow every night. And I am not in the SV liking crowd. Ashran/IOC/WG zerg fights…not kind to SV imo.
I like my melee all proper and in plate. Or if i want to sneak around… i want to sap some people as rogue just because its good for laughs.
ATM I’m playing alts through ZM to get additional chances at the damn bronze alloy that is on a weekly CD.
I play many alts because it’s fun. They all have different backstories and personalities, so it’s always a different story with each.

i play alts because it’s fun. early in the season i mostly focus on one character but later on it’s nice to have a bunch of options.

You end up in the mid 20s just by dungeon spamming from 50 to 60.
You can literally buy a skip to 40 for dirt cheap.
You get Renown from almost EVERYTHING you do, non-stop.
I hit 60 on a new toon without access to the 40 skip and was 80 Renown within like 3 days.
I get rep grinds. No one wants to be stuck behind a timegated wall they’ve already clawed through once. But Renown is super easy. You can ignore the questlines entirely. You can spam your dungeons. You can PvP. You can Raid. And you’ll get max Renown eventually just from doing that. With no timegating.

You can skip all of the story on alts and get all the renown you need in less then a day… seriously what are you talking about with this?
Good change if pace, raid need different healers for certain fights.
FWIW, 80 renown is stupid easy now if you do threads of fate.
I got to 80 renown on my Paladin alt just by doing ToF, some dungeons, and the campaign questline.
