Having played this game through the good and bad and very bad times I would stay no other game pulls me in like WOW even though I dabble at times in ESO when WOW gets old as soon as something in WOW pulls me back I ignore ESO.
Take for instance right now I am getting bored of Shadowlands and was ready to hit ESO hard but then found my new favorite class/spec Destruction Warlock and so have been having fun again leveling it in older content while ignoring Shadowlands even exists.
Worse case scenario for me, as it’d probably go F2P at that point and I’d rather they shut down the servers in all honesty.
And don’t get me wrong, I mean that in the nicest way possible. As I physically can’t see myself getting invested into another MMO while WoW is still up and running. So, WoW discontinues content I’d rather it does a full shutdown so I can move onto a “new” MMO without being able to come back to WoW.
When everyone moves to a cryptocurrency and the banks become obsolete, will you still use the few that remain as they die off or will you consider other options, such as starting an offshoot business?
they have a LONG way to go to get to what you’re trying to explain… the fact the RIFT is still going should be assurance that WoW won’t end within the next 5 years
Yeah in all honesty I dont believe WoW will ever stop. As others have mentioned, it’s just too big. I’m just playing with a what if scenario, like those “what would you do if the world ended tomorrow?” Sort of deals. Curious to see if people would continue playing WoW, try out another game, or just stop altogether with the genre for the most part.
