What if the Ninja class exists

And they are just too good at their role for us to catch them?

Ninja class does exist in game but nobody can find the button to select it.

Rogues are practically ninjas

I thought that was sub rogue?

I mean you’ve got rogues and monks. While neither is a ninja, both share some ninja like qualities. Mainly on the monk end their mobility.

The hunter class is the ninja class. They had to take away melee weapons just to give people a chance.

Sub Rogues. Literally have a Naruto mantra-thing as one of their buttons now (Symbols of Death).

I play a Nin…oops! Never mind! No I don’t! Heh heh…of COURSE there are no ninjas! It’s just a story! Heh heh…

Why do you think we don’t have group loot anymore?

No “practically” about it. They have the ninja vanish ability, stealth, and shuriken toss.

We used to have ninjas in the game. Thankfully Blizzard did away with Need rolls in dungeons.

They exist…its called rogues, specifically sub rogues.

monks aren’t ninjas. monks don’t use the “silent step” technique real real life shinobis developed. Monks are more like trained fighters with swords and bowstaffs and other weapons. Monks have a whole different reason to exist as well then shinobis did.

Ninjas are race-restricted to Tauren. Their class hall is the Secret Cow Level.

You mean rogue (and sub rogue especially).

The only think “monk” and “ninja” have in common is the martial arts (and ninjas were actually very proficient with all manner of weapons). In practice, both the assassination and subtlety rogue specs are very much the wow version of a ninja.

In FFXIV also, the ninja is actually the advanced class of the rogue (all classes have an advanced version they unlock later…still the same class and role though).

I love the tiny details that ninjas got in FF14! The ninja jump no other job gets when weapons are unsheated, the reduced fall damage, ect…they really RPG"d shinobis in FF14 well. The one thing I don’t understand is…why did they call them ninjas when the actual ninja trainers called themselves shinobis?

I haven’t gotten to level it yet but when I do I’m planning on using the lvl 50 ninja set to look like ninja gaiden protaganist.

I never played it. I just know it exists and seems really complicated (most don’t realize though that at max level and in endgame, most FFXIV specs are far more complex to play and master than anything in WoW).

My guess is they went with a more standard naming that would be easily understood and liked by western and eastern audiences.
