What if LFR was changed to LTR?

What is LTR you ask? “Learning To Raid”

It could be a solo scenario queue, that goes over step by step instructions of a boss and it’s mechanics. It would be similar to proving grounds as in you’d be put in with NPC’s to act as a “raid team”.

It could have popup notifications that you have to “complete” like if you’re a DPS step 1 obviously to damage boss, then it could be like “soak a puddle” or “line of sight” or “dodge fire” basically teaches you how to do the boss mechanics.

As a tank, you’d learn when to taunt and what to look for. Or any other mechanic you’d have to do as a tank. Maybe a “pop a defensive” for a certain mechanic etc

Healer - you’d have to keep people alive, learn to dispell X debuff etc

If LFR was changed to LTR, it could actually teach people what they need to know to get into Normal + raiding

It would also teach people without wasting anyone elses time as it’d be a solo queue

Players would not have to wait in queue, it would pop instantly because they’d be solo in this scenario

Players also couldn’t just AFK it or purposely die, or it would fail. They would actually be required to do the mechanics in a sort of “dance like” fashion, preform their role(to a lesser degree, not like Mage Tower. Much more friendly so a less damage/healing requirement, not hitting tanks too hard etc).

I think if they could pull off something like this, it would be amazing.

There was actually an addon that did this. Or tried to, it wasnt fully fleshed out.

Blizzard would really need to step up their NPC AI skills. You have NPC healers that never heal. NPC tanks that can’t keep aggro. And DPS off doing their own thing.

A separate mode teaching the raids mechanics could be cool.

But taking away LFR is an absolute no.

2 different things or just LFR as it is.

I have news for ya whatever they do to lfr ain’t fixing this game and the massive unsub problem it has and pure hatred people have of it.

Not everyone needs to be taught. I’ve been raiding for 15 years. I just don’t have the time to raid often,
