What if being ignored had consequences?

What if you could see how many players had YOU on their ignore list and for each one, you pay a slightly higher price for items at vendors?

Not only that, but every time someone puts you on ignore, you are forced to wear 'The Ignored" title on that toon for 2 hours of playtime.

There would have to be limits so it does not get abused of course.

Dumbest idea I’ve ever heard.

What purpose would that serve, and how could something like that not be abused?

Yeah, that totally wouldn’t be abused…

I just think that if people had a reason to not want to be ignored, they might be nicer people.

Does that include the forums? If so I’m screwed lol

You do understand that I don’t need a reason to ignore you right now. Matter of fact your entire server could ignore you just as a joke to troll you. It’s not like there is some admin reviewing why you are ignoring someone and approving or disapproving of it.

I understand what you’re saying, but I (who has placed a lot of posters on ignore) wouldn’t want this. The conversation ends after you stop responding to each other.

I meant in game, not here.

Same difference.

Unfortunately you can’t force people to be nice.

I feel that if someone ignores me online, that’s none of my business. If someone is getting mass ignored for whatever reason, I feel like that is punishment enough.

We don’t have to march people down to the town square ringing a bell chanting “Shame! Shame!” because most likely the kind of people you are thinking of, are shameless and wouldn’t care anyway.

That sort of consequence can be abused easily by any group of people. Others would enjoy having the “Ignored” title.

So no, that would not be good.

Being ignored means that you won’t be grouped with that individual - and if a lot of people ignore you, you may have a hard time getting groups.

Obvious bad idea is bad…but another questions…

What items are you regularly buying from a vendor to where you think an increase in that vendor price is actually a deterrent?

I wouldn’t mind knowing how many people in game have me on ignore. If it was a number like 37 for example I would be like “what?? that many? But I am nice to everyone!”

I’d rather not know, personally. Although, in game it tells you, when somebody has you on ignore, when you try to whisper them or something :woman_shrugging:

Haha, I’d think the same thing, but we can’t get along with everybody :woman_shrugging:

Ok, repair costs then. But if 10 people or less have you on ignore, you get cheaper repair costs. Could it be abused? Not much with only 50 people per ignore list and one ignore per account limit that would count toward the 10.

edit: oh the game is back up… thank god… I was gonna have to come up with another terrible idea. What if all your pets could be mounts too…

I would love to know. I don’t think the game tells you explicitly when you are put on ignore rather than if/when you try and whisper them.

I would be surprised if I ignored even double digit amount of people and most were probably for spam.

that is not really a reasonable ask

who is to say somone ignored somone else for a totally rediculous reason ?

why should anyone have consequence for some random persons issues ?

ignore whom ever you wish for whatever reasons you want but that it stops there you dont get to chose who gets punished in wow

What’s a repair cost? Oh something non Kyrian folks pay sometimes.
