What I expect from 11.0.5

  1. Relentless strikes passive for all 3 specs
  2. Deathmark undispellable
  3. Slice and dice passive
  4. Fixed stealth and vanish breaking abilities. i.e. Singular focus, holy prism…
  5. Deathstalker’s mark applicable by shiv or garrote.
  6. Cheat death bug fixed.

What we’ve getting so far:

  1. Feint off global cooldown.

Is this one of those serious discussion threads, or one of the ones where we’re just going to throw a pity party? I can never tell now adays.

What I expect (not that anyone asked)

  1. Feint off global cooldown.
    1. Slice and dice passive

Why? Because they said to expect it.

What I want? (not that anyone asked, or that anyone should agree, or expect…)

  1. Relentless strikes passive for all 3 specs
  2. Fixed stealth bugs
  3. Hero Talent bugs fixed
  4. Some type of dispel consideration for DM
  5. MfD
  6. PvP Talent overhaul
  7. Removal of ER for something else.
  8. Revert Back from 2 Vanishes to 1 SD.
  9. Poisons to be permanent.

What I don’t want:

  1. Deathstalker’s mark applying via Garrote. Because that would be silly.

I mean I am 100% serious, as someone who plays assassination over 15 years, but I’m too lazy to write down longer description, that was already being said multiple times about those issues and why is it so important to fix them.

I asked because you’re announcing a list of expectations which sounds strange. Are these things you are demanding? Hoping for? Why would you expect some of these things?

Slice and Dice and Feint are both announced. You know about Feint, but not slice and dice, which is strange.

Of course its my own expectation, if it were announced, i wouldn’t bother to make a topic for it.

I know about slice and dice change, but the button is still there for legit no reason at all, I want to get rid of that stupid boring ability completely.

This got a giggle outta me cause we keep talking about how every other class has been modernized but rogue and theres so much messed up stuff, having to click your poisons every hour doesnt even make it onto the list of issues most of the time :skull:

Was not expecting Thistle Tea and Echoing Reprimand to be passive for… reasons. There was no explanation for it either, it was just plopped onto our laps.

Deathmark off GCD would be my one wish.

Auto SnD and auto Thistle Tea are going to help outside of the opener when stuff is more hectic. I might have to eye ball my energy even more when they do the thistle tea change.

The others are make Subterfuge and Alacrity one point. That would be perfect.

Aren’t they also making it so BTE can’t mistime anymore? ie; subterfuge ends and you BTE, putting it on CD and having to rush to get it off CD while sitting on your vanish charge(s). The new change makes it so you can fire and forget and not have to decide if the last second of subterfuge is going to behave or if you’re going to get a 0.05s latency spike and mistime and lose out on a massive amount of damage in a limited window of opportunity. Also means you can have BTE up between packs in dungeons and open world 100% of the time since you always restealth.

Which also has the added benefit of no longer needing to tell people to hold BTE if vanish is off cooldown in 34+ seconds, or 22+ ish seconds if you got yellow compass, but also variable if yellow circle has less than 10 seconds left and depending on your bonus combo points, and oops broadside proc-rolled so now it’s coming off cooldown quicker, please hold this timer too, also a big mechanic is coming so if you get it early then vanish and blast or if it’s too late then vanish and blast anyways and soak the mechanic with feint, cloak, cheat death and a healing potion, and–

Auto Thistle Tea looks more harmful than useful sadly. Imagine you will start fighting boss, spend all 3 teas during first 1 minute of fight, and then you have no energy for another 1 minute.

The design of energy regeneration fo Assa must change, and the best start for it is to return Relentless strikes. Thistle Tea right now serves as a bandaid for bad class design and energy regeneration.

Yeah I wish we could choose to have it automated or not.

even without relentless strikes, if they buffed venomous wounds to 10 energy for garrote and rupture and 5 for crimson tempest, then changed sanguine blades to consume 5 energy for garrote, rupture and crimson tempest for 100% extra damage while above 50% energy, you’d end up with energy regen slightly nerfed above 50%, but considerably buffed under 50%

I want a redesign.
The buttons needs to fell good to press.

Assassination:
Kingsbane has no animation
Shiv is boring
Rupture and Garrote feels the same since WOTLK.

Sub can be excelent in numbers in PVP and ST, but i hate shadow dance, symbols of death and etc…

Slice and Dice is the worst buttom to press, ever.

Outlaw is begging for Guns customization via Barber (warlocks pets and druid travel forms)

In my fantasy, outlaw could use barrels to explode, granades, a lot of pew pew similar to Samira (League of Legends) or Dante (Devil May Cry). Oh no we just roll the bones.

IDK, in every game i play, i play as an assassin, and in wow, it feels so outdated.
Ah, and please, nothing more frustrating than Vanish in Open World and Delves, when you need the buff and u cant, because the ads will reset.

Relentless Strike feels like an ability a Warrior should have to “generate” rage. They are constantly making Rogues more and more like warriors in terms of abilities that generate chunks of energy like a warrior generates Rage.

Rogues are supposed to “regenerate” energy, and it should regen smoothly with a consistent flow.

It was an original rogue talent. Are you judging the feeling based on the name of the talent rather than it’s function, or what the actual f?

i honestly don’t think assa needs relentless strikes, just how outlaw and sub don’t need venomous wounds
we don’t need to homogenize the specs

Unironically have been begging for the option to transmog my gun into a hand crossbow or literally any other appearance for years.

I don’t mind the VanCleef gun reference, but would it seriously be that difficult to add literally one or two other options?
