Yeah man I just need to grow up and realize that being an enlightened centrist is the way. I mean it’s chill when our government is being dismantled and couped by an unelected billionaire not even born in the US. Trying to cut social security - eh all those people are just entitled to their retirement fund, screw em. Cutting Medicare - meh, that’s just to enable stoners to sit at home all day and not work (according to you “centrists”.)
Privatizing education, that for sure will help fix the education income related gap in our country. The reason the left is losing members is contrary to what you think it is. There’s a huge disconnect between US democrats and progressives in the US. Chuck Schumer being cucked by billionaires, the same disease affecting politicians on both sides. Progressivism isn’t “losing members”, the Democratic Party is- hence why Bernie has been saying to not run under “Democrat” in 2028.

I’m probably 90% conservative leaning and took a break from being extremely busy today to help one of our middle eastern custodians fill out citizenship application paperwork to send to an attorney.
It’s totally crazy to me that social media/reporters have effectively been able to convince society that hundreds of millions of strangers perfectly meet any cookie cutter label based on a minor commonality.
Most people’s political affiliations generally boil down to how they want taxes spent and less than a handful of buzz topic laws they want changed/not changed.

I quit my job at HHS because I didn’t want to keep working for an entity that was designed to keep screwing over people.
When I tried reporting an insurance company for fraud nothing happened and they [the insurance company] got to get away with false advertising in the states of Georgia, Mississippi, Florida, and both Carolinas (might be more it’s been 3 years since I left).
Dismantling government agencies that were never supposed to exist isn’t a bad thing especially when all those who run those places are also unelected people who some how go get private sector jobs after their position with companies theyre were just supposed to be regulating.
I was all for cutting government waste, but I’m very against them not going after the military budget and instead increased it’s budget again.
I’m about supporting the troops, just not the war machine, because we troops get the short end of the stick with the fact most of us qualified or currently qualify for food stamps and their living situations are sometimes only a step above a trap house (sometimes even worse).
There is no moral high ground for any of the tribalistic politics that you are spewing as both sides of the isle have been doing terrible things behind not so closed doors and they get away with it by pointing at the opposition screaming “look at them!”
You want to talk about the party of racism, tell me which politician spearheaded for segregation to come back, in 1977.

Also, my argument has not been that everyone who votes red or is a Trumper is automatically racist. I said the party itself is historically and there’s no refuting that. It’s the affiliation and what you’re supporting that’s the problem. I never said or insinuated that everyone fits the same mold.
I also find it an interesting take that people vote cuz taxes lol. I mean yeah they do. As far as I know, I’m going to be struggling more as a working American with this administration. I don’t meet the 360k/year tax bracket that is getting tax cuts.
And if I DO make that much money, I’d like to think that I don’t need a tax cut to afford a second luxury car at the expense of the working class. You’re a conservative, I get that. But never understood the argument “welp, once you get your first job at the steel mill you’ll vote republican
