Prevoker.
Can’t speak for M+ since I don’t run that content, but in Raids I’d say, for me, it’s Disc Priest. I just cannot get the hang of it.
Preservation is pretty dope. You have a button for every situation, and you have the added difficulty of a range limitation in comparison to other healers. You have to use your mobility to your advantage.
Standard ramp/burst healing style similar to disc or Hpala, but has a variety of combos (Ramp Echo > Verdant Embrace > Emerald Communion), (Echos > Stasis > Temporal anomoly > Tip The Scales > Verdant > Breath > Stasis) that can really PUMP heals.
Rewind is also busted.
Also rescue is hilarious.
Either Hpal or Mistweaver because of being in melee combined with the added responsibility of interrupts and mob control, at least in M+. Right now Hpal is under-tuned, so Mistweaver is my pick. In raids they’re all pretty braindead.
Resto shaman will always struggle w/ ‘potential’ because its defensive personals are kinda garbo.
Regardless of what’s hardest, the amount of god awful pointless spirit links I’ve seen over the years agrees with this.
From a dps player perspective the biggest skill gap I notice is resto Druid, then pres evoker, then disc priest. Even though it’s meta I hardly ever invite resto druids cause it’s like Russian roulette but 5 of the 6 chambers have bullets.
It must be a M+ thing, because in a Raid (at least to me), it’s VERY obvious when to use SLT. Raid needs to stack for a soak? SLT. Boss goes into a phase transition with lots of AOE damage? SLT. Exploding adds or fireballs spawned? SLT.
There is a reason that the consensus for this question is Resto Shaman for M+. It is for the same reason that it is considered the highest skill cap healer in arena as well.
Yeah. That’s mainly what I do, so my opinion is founded mostly on that.
Me in here learning that the heal spec i play is considered difficult.
Maybe i’m built different when it comes to healing, hmm. I don’t know, pres is a silly time to me.
Personally I find shaman pretty laid back & tend to struggle more on my mistweaver than I do my resto-sham
But I guess that’s just me? ![]()
Either I’m playing resto sham really good … or I’m playing mistweaver really wrong
… or potentially a bit of both ![]()
Honestly in terms of “What healer is the hardest” –
- I’d say it depends on what you’re doing (raid or mythic plus) and what instance / bosses you’re fighting – Given that some fights & their mechanics may favour certain healers playstyles better.
- Also comes to what style of healing you like & how you manage with different playstyles and their various techniques. Someone who despises a certain playstyle may tell you it’s the most difficult, whereas someone who loves it may tell you its the easiest.
- Do keep in mind as well, that there’s times in the game where scaling can be whack, such as perhaps dipping a little too deep in the nerfs, making the class feel like a harsh difficult nightmare to play — or make X class reach for the stars in buffs & feel like an easy cakewalk. lol
Whenever I’m not use to a healer, I tend to over-extend on mana until I get the swing of it – However for the most part I tend to find I come to enjoy healing on all healers
although I haven’t dabbled in Hpal for awhile, so can’t really say much on them ![]()
Are yall considering resto druid catweaving easy or…?
I’d consider it easy but only because of how groups work. If the group isn’t taking any of that avoidable damage than jumping into cat isn’t hard at all. I also like my dps being a part of another form and not intermixed with my healing. Though I do have experience with druid so maybe I just think it’s easy you know.
My advice to anyone who’s thinking of playing druid for catweaving would be don’t even bother trying in group content until you get a good read on how much damage they are taking.
Edit-I’m guessing it would take some time for new players though, so I agree it has depth.
Yeah the cat dps part isn’t that hard, and the healing part isn’t that hard, but combining them together can get complicated unless everything goes according to plan…which it never does
Mw monk -many can play but very very few play well.in my time i have only found 2 good mws.
Resto Shaman that focuses on Mastery. Gotta let people get closer to death to max out healing potentional. Such an odd Mastery in that regard…
