I’d forgotten how big a deal push back was. Gotta work around it constantly.
My main spell is wand, along with managing my pet and not relying on Blizz AI to do it.
Bag management!
I played on a private server but man bags on there dropped like rain in Hurricane.
How much it absolutely sucks to be the only one relying on drinking water in a low level dungeon group.
I had to login just to <3 your comment lol
DUDE. I was literally thinking this as I saw the thread pop up. Mana management definitely.
Murlocs.
They will kill you!
Ahhh the mana! Oh my gosh, it’s been a decade since I had to manage mana! hahaha, so funny. I have actually been begging mages for water.
And… woohoo, I can see my classic avatar!
If you sneeze you will oom. Learning to not over heal and stay above 80% mana before every pull in dungeons so you have enough reserve for the “oh crap” moments.
I actually need reagents to do things.
I tried to use Slow Fall without a Light Feather and… welp…
That yes, it IS a good idea to learn how to cook as soon as reasonably possible, and to save all that meat and hit up the closest inn once in a while to cook it all. Because warriors do not regenerate health that fast, and stat food actually makes something of a difference here.
This is why Pandaren weren’t in Vanilla. They would be gamebreaking with the double food bonuses…
You know, something else I noticed was the difference in stats on tailoring items.
I had looked at low-level tailoring recipes on a retail character, and then wrote down the items I thought would help me out (they were green-level items with either spirit or stamina).
And when I asked a tailor in classic to make them for me, they were white items with the same name, but no extra stats! I guess there is a difference. :o
I mean, again, it’s nothing I can’t adapt to. I’m having a great time.
Yep, this! To try and keep up I used my wand more often than I wanted to. Otherwise I was drinking after nearly every mob.
Nothing wrong with wand usage, especially on mage and priest (priest even gets wand specialization to up the wand damage)
My main in Vanilla was mage, fire mage cause I liked to live dangerously and pvp lol. Alchemy and wands were my best friend
No I didn’t have a potion problem! I could quit at any time! >.> <.<
I can’t interact with anything in shapeshift form.
Also I need to figure out my keybinds soon because it’s totally different from my retail setup.
wands are priest best friend !
Thunder Clap can not be used in Defensive Stance.
Thank you. I had forgotten that.
Was running WC yesterday. We had two locks in the group. The tank dies (he already used the SS I gave him). He asked the other lock if he still had his SS. The other lock proceed to “cast” SS on the dead tank. It worked out great…the lock is now SS’d. Good times!
Nothing really, sort of impressed that I recall everything from 14 years past. Then again, also disappointed that I’ve kept that knowledge in my head.
