I followed the advice of someone on wowhead who said don’t bother rezzing if you die during mortanis because you won’t make it back in time if you died near the end, which I did. But sadly of the 3-5 healers they were too busy to rez me apparently and just left, and by time I got back to my body the corpse was gone. So am I just screwed till next week?
You don’t need to loot the world boss. If you get a gear drop from it, it shows up on your screen and automatically goes to your bag.
If the world boss was sparkling as if it had loot, it would have just been a gray quality item, and will have been sent to your mail box for you. 
Ahh alright thank you zipster :). Wow so I literally got nothing then, that’s what made me think I had to loot it rofl. I saw everyone else getting a ton of items and all I had was the anima. Oh well better luck next week then, thanks again zip!
For what it’s worth, you will either get Anima, Gold, or a piece of gear. Better luck next week!
You would also have seen a bunch of people getting lego recipes and conduits
