I feel like in the past Stormwind used to be pretty busy. Sure you can still find people to walk up to, BUT there are nowhere as many people rping as there were in SL.
SL happened, DF barely staunched the wound BFA and SL collectively tore back open that Legion only just managed to patch up priorly from WoD, WoD being the worst expansion to date metrics wise, and I say this ONLY because we don’t really have the SL numbers, but observably it also caused a huge plunge.
Also lots of drama behind closed doors.
Damn, that’s sad to hear… I can’t even find like a city wide plot, or anything like that I can involve my character into. Feels like everyone just logs on and aura farms.
It may just be the day/time you’re looking around. I haven’t noticed any decline in the sheer throngs, especially on weekends and at night.
I can’t say I remember much in the way of “city wide plot” going on in the past, though, at least not that people don’t bitterly complain about to this day.
I remember in Legion the RP scene was booming on MG, then… BfA… then SL… DF… and now.
The same people have been standing around in SW for years, and any “plot” they’d suck you into? You don’t want involved in, it’s usually the Guard and crown/noble politic guilds throwing their ego around. Would not recommend it, find a good guild not SCA or SLP affiliated and does nice world RP, there’s your ticket to a nice happy RP existence.
It is insane the amount of god-modding guild leaders I’ve seen who are only guild leaders because they are raging narcissists. They get upset when you have no clue who they are.
Regrettably, on the topic of this thread, I JUST tried to talk to someone who left MG because Trade made them realize that if SW was the “best” MG had to offer… it wasn’t the server for them.
I wouldn’t say that MG Trade represents anything but MG Trade. I literally never see the people who frequently post there around the city.
I’ve invited a few folks when they put LF guild or whatever, never speak in g chat, or attend any events, just always running their mouths in trade, it was the only place I found most of em when they were on.
