There is your first problem. Not your fault mind you, but things to tend to be more magical when you are young. For example, I played shadows of yserbius on the Imagination Network when I was roughly that age and I still think it’s like the greatest thing ever created. I still play an offline version on DoS box now and then.
The difference is it hasn’t changed in all that time. When I boot it up, it is exactly as how I remembered it. WoW has changed a lot since the time you started playing so it doesn’t live up to those past memories.
I still think the game is good. The way I play it has changed drastically over the years and if the game hadn’t adapted with evolving player behaviors, I don’t think it would have remained as popular as it has over the years.
Go take a break and play other stuff for a while. Maybe you’ll get the itch to play again. Maybe you won’t. Either way is fine. I take breaks to play other stuff all the time, keeps things in perspective for me.
Regardless, it doesn’t seem to hold your interest anymore, and that’s purely subjective. From my perspective I think it’s gotten to the point that many experienced players want very specific things from the game and are less willing to compromise. This makes it difficult to put together a game that’s going to please everyone while still managing to remain a cohesive universe instead of ten separate mini-games.
Any game.
Any game you can think of from the biggest bestest game in the universe down to the TexasInstruments-85 calculator games people programmed back in the day are neither good nor bad as that is a matter of opinion.
drinks koolaid
pays his $15 sub
game is good, game is great amen
Many realms feel dead or dying.
Not for wow but because of a real life reason I too have looked into ways of erasing memories
Maybe one day.
As there are some people who will always think wow sucks there are some people who always think wow is great.
Opinions.
There’s a fine line between faith and ignorance
True. I think WoW is just as good now as I thought it was when I first started. I guess after you get a certain age, you start going back to your “youth”. It’s my retirement game and I love it.
All these original responses… I didn’t know wow was so good. Can you guys message my friends and make them come back to play?
Until someone can come up with a scientific method to objectively measure whether or not a video game is good it will always be the case that the “goodness” of a game is relative to who you ask.
I’ve played since 2007, there are things I don’t like and things I do as has always been the case
I just do my best to avoid the things I don’t like
No, because in their opinion wow isn’t good enough to play.
This is why I like my RP realm. It at least has some semblance of static reality and not an endless phased one.
how logical and thought out
Hey tanks Bronis I see why you have so many friends, full of compliments
Also played since I was 13 (maybe 14?). Still find it fun. Maybe you outgrew it or you just don’t like the changes. It’s not good for you anymore is all.
I used to really, really, really like diablo II. When resurrected came out I honestly thought I’d quit WoW and return to it… seems I’m not that into it anymore precisely because it hasn’t changed at all.
good talk lmfao awkward af
a game that costs $15 a month as incentive for new content, when new content is slowly becoming nothing at all lol. Weird that less people play every day. Someone hit me in the head hard so I can be like the rest of the community.
I too enjoyed it
Also I’m not Awkward, he’s around the forums somewhere though I’m Kaurmine lmao
