None of my Retail WoW chars are being shown on the selection window.

If you haven’t played any of them recently, they will have “retired” and are not selectable until you log into them. Currently, this character is the only one of 21 characters on my account that I can choose to use in the forum, because I haven’t logged into the others since I took a break from WoW.
Once you log in on those characters, they should become visible in your selection screen here on the forums, though there may be a delay before the system updates.
If you account is inactive, you will not be able to access any of the characters above level 20, and they’ll remain “retired” until you renew a subscription or pay for (or get gifted) game time.
(Edit: I just checked your other posts and most of them are 5-6 years old, so if you’re just coming back, that’s definitely the reason.)

I’ve been having this issue for a week now and I’ve been playing my retail characters. My account is active. I’m not just not coming back. I post regularly on my server forums.
I played this morning with my main with no problems. Now every character has disappeared. Maybe it’s an omen, a sign to retire.
Since the user account assigned to this character is majorthor-24591 and
is raton-60438, while
is illythia-3307771, I’m pretty sure we’re all on different pages.
If none of these apply to you, take screenshots and document the issue (i.e. take a screenshot from inside the game of the other characters you’re playing, which don’t show up in the character list for “Change Character”), and then another screenshot of the change character list.
Be advised that there will probably be a delay from the time you log out of any individual character to the time it becomes available for use in the forums. Our Guild Master was leveling an alt to 90, and went from 150 iLvl to around 250, and the change wasn’t noted in Armory until after she’d gone to bed. That’s just how the system works.

Oh. Apparently this is a thing. This JUST happened to me and I watched it in real time. Only Classic toons are showing and I don’t even play Classic. I only play Retail, and 0 Retail toons show in the list.
Still having this issue. My mains are not available. None of the characters I play regularly are avaiilable. The one i’m logged into right now isn’t available.
