What did the Horde gain by gleefully laughing at Alliance who complained about being camped? Alliance chose to play on a PVP server knowing Horde outnumber them on those servers. Horde chose to play Horde knowing it’s the overpopulated faction that people play for a good time to PVP so that’s why the queues are long. That’s part of the game. There is no fix for Horde queue times other than rerolling to Alliance or adding merc mode and adding merc mode would break Classic in a game whose PVP is based upon rank grinding and that already disallows playing both factions on a PVP server.
You call it griefing, they call it farming honor by the only means available.
What? Where? I’ve seen one maybe? lol front page is filled with threads like yours imagining the Horde crying. Wut?
Sorry but making the game completely unplayable for weeks was not the only way to get Honor.
Also don’t sit there and try to tell me that all those ganksquads were only doing it for Honor. You know as well as i do that it was not about the honor. It was about trolling. The fact they got something for doing it was just a bonus.
The Horde made this mess and now they are having to deal with the consequences.
The alliance are starting a lot of the threads. They start the arguments and then call out the horde and say “see! You horde are still crying! Look at all these threads about horde crying lol”.
They start the threads and call that a win for alliance. Thats not the way it works though
Okay so, alliance cried and complained first right? And the horde retaliated with git gud, reroll etc.
Now the horde are crying and the alliance are now retaliating with the same thing correct?
All this shows is that alliance arent any better. At all. The alliance have stooped down to the same level as the horde did.
But they intended on alliance making gank squads?
Alliance made ganksquads as well, but not nearly as many as the Horde. So those people deserve part the blame as well, but it wasn’t the Alliance that killed entire servers and forced Blizzards hand.
If the Horde players had been a bit more tactful and considerate towards opposing players then they wouldn’t be in the mess they are in now. The faction ratio wouldn’t have tanked and Blizzard wouldn’t have needed to step in and release BGs early.
All they had to do was not take it it too far, but they just couldn’t stop themselves. And now we have dead servers, long queue times, and a drastically depleted Alliance PvP population.
On my server, and some others, was just as many.
Alliance get repeatedly punched down by Horde for months.
BGs release
Alliance punches back
Horde:
Yes on a few servers. But overall the Horde vastly outnumbered the Alliance on this issue. Afterall it wasn’t Horde players coming to the forums demanding that something be done. And it wasn’t Horde players leaving the game in droves.
The Horde players took it too far and now PvP in classic may never recover as a result.
They just need to git gud or go back
To rEtAIl
Fixed it for you.
What do you try to achieve with such a post? That in future, Horde stops playing classic and you can pvp with yourself?
This classic "community"is just terrible and fails at so many things, about basic socialising and manners, it´s shocking. You turned this game into Retail 2.0 and are proud of it!
More like:
Wpvp happens to everyone, Alliance come complain on the forums. Horde tell them to re-roll/quit/go back to retail
BGs release
Alliance still come to the forums making threads
Horde:
You’re stooping to the same level, so you’re also part of the problem.
Except this isn’t what is happening. Alliance talked a bunch of trash when they could pve hero rush Drek down in 6 minutes with not more than 8 hks going out (usually all on Horde killing Alliance). Now that the dragonslayers have gotten their exalted rep and items, they’ve quit queuing. What you’re left with is mostly the few alliance players who want to actually pvp in a bg.
The Alliance ran their mouths, the tides began to turn and now suddenly they don’t feel like playing. All I see is the Alliance ducking. I think the most telling part for me about this was when I jumped a human mage, who I recognized from the numerous threads of “OH LOOK NOW THAT’S IT’S 40V40 HORDE CAN’T WIN AV HAHA” and this guy blinks away, sheeps me. Pops a SWIFTNESS POTION TO RUN AWAY AND MOUNT UP then rushes to our base. Like how pathetic can a faction be?
Tbh, that’s pretty smart. Not all 1v1s will be won. Regardless of the skill level, they were smart to CC you and go where their team needs them than sit in a 1v1.
Sure I guess to a degree. I’d respect it if the decision was actually make with tactics in mind rather than “OH CRAP I CAN’T PVP! I JUST WANT TO THROW FROSTBOLTS AT DREK AND WIN GAMES!”
Quite ironic to me that there are so many people actively avoiding PvP in a BG to focus PvE objectives.
Hell some games I deliberately forced turtle matches and the Alliance never won. Usually what resulted was 15 trying to fight with the other 25 trying to sneak out of their base through the south and try to rush for the pve again.
Bottom line is just the Alliance blows at pvp.
Honestly, What is wrong with you man? Do you see how you are coming off?
Well yea, typically if horde turtle, Alliance don’t win unless in a premade. Their pugs just aren’t typically made to fight. That’s why you have some Alliance asking Horde not to turtle
