Im tired of being a punching bag. I play way better when I’m not the kill target. Any suggestions on what dps is rarely the kill target?
Dh is pretty untargetable rn.

It’s probably havoc then ret then either outlaw or arms. Maybe a flavor of non-mm hunter, like bm

I screwed myself by getting the 4-set and pve gear. now i have 8% less verse and everything deletes me

It is only 4% damage reduction you are missing. On Ret it is hardly a noticeable flaw.

Ahhhh you did 4set? I couldn’t even bring myself to do the 2set. Hand to God if I could xfer you my ret rn I would - sadly it would instantly be worth like 1k more CR in your hands haha. Sittin just over 29% vers w/ 39% mast or can swap out a couple pieces and be 27% / 43%.
Sidenote: I’m actually really liking Herald. Since so many people are used to seeing Templar, seems like they don’t really expect that bingbing DT juiced 2x HoW / AoW Blade / Light Within all hitting in a global (with maybe a mastery proc thrown in if lucky). Probably just been the ratings I’m still playing up through, but have caught several people off guard as if they were just expecting “the dawnlight dot spec” and tapped em behind a pillar 20sec into a game.
Do you have any idea how high your burst DPS can get? I’ve been uploading everything to WoW Arena Logs and I think the highest I’ve peaked at was like 192k? Feel like it can / should go higher, since I’m always operating at a sub-optimal level of performance lol.

Traditionaly, Havoc and outlaw rogues. But not melee are ever targeted if their is a ranged class. But va double melee, warriors, Ret and monk are usualy the go target over other spec.
Warriors are even great to swap on.
Could play a healer if you’d rather be a CC target than a kill target

DH 100%. Class is immortal into 94% of specs.

I’ve been playing a lot of BM hunter as an alt that spec feels pretty unkillable, and honestly pretty fun.
I think i just really missed that sustained damage hunter playstyle
