What do you want played at your funeral?

I mean, I will be dead. What anyone does after the fact is up to them. But I guess I would probably choose “Song of Myself” by Nightwish. I’ll part this world with 13 minutes of nonstop wisdom.

I can respect that.

I don’t plan to have a funeral. That money can go toward the living people I love. Instead I want people to do something they enjoy and think about me while doing. I would like for them to live my share as well.

Doesn’t really matter to me, I don’t plan on attending.

I just want Ron Pearlman to narrate a pre-written speech that I wrote before my death. Of course I plan to outlive Ron Pearlman so someone who does a close impersonation will be hired.

That’s different. She was a big Star Trek fan I take it?

I’m mostly leaving that choice to my family. Memorials are for the survivors, after all. Elvis, as they say, will have left the building, and I will either have eternal peace or far more serious matters to worry about.

That said, I have told them that I want “The Thunderer” as the recessional. No dirge for me, I’m checking out with a quick march.

This puts a whole new meaning to the phrase, “Want a piece of me?”

That’s why wakes are important. That way, everyone can get together and have a pint in your honour, talk of shared memories, stuff like that.

I’d prefer a wake if I had to choose but as it is, I’m just going to prepay for a cremation and be done with it.
