Birthday Gifts, in game…From Blizzard.
For your birthday, you get a gift. You can set the birthday date to be just your irl birthday, or you can set it to whatever calendar that Azeroth uses for your character.
Maybe you could get like…one mount, nothing too rare. You can only get that once.
Then maybe your characters have a slightly increased chance for double loot?
I know it won’t happen, but what do you think of the idea? How would you do it?
Could be good provided you can’t keep changing your birthdate to get gifts multiple times in the year.
Then again you’d get people crying about unfair advantage, so maybe not.
Yeah, half the people would set their birthday for the day after this gets announced, and the other half would complain about having to wait 11 months to get what other people are riding around on.
It just wouldn’t work in this game.
would be good but like demo said players would whine up a storm that blizz miss their birthday.
but if its the month it could work
even if they add it on the 1st of next year its still a whine whine no matter how they do it

I think Trading Post Tenders would be a good gift. I don’t think it’d be difficult to set the gift to once a year even if people try to cheat the system and change their birthday. Also, if anyone complains they should just be ignored because do they cry irl when it’s someone else’s birthday and not theirs?
That would be doable I suppose.
Still think it’s messy and not worth the inevitable customer service issues that would arise.
They must be able to know when a character was made - using that as the “birthday” would be cool - and having it such that you can only claim one gift a year so you don’t spam toon birthdays >.<
I always thought it would be cute if Blizz gave you a little in game cake with a little happy birthday message. Maybe after you eat it you get a little thing on your character for the day so folks can see it where your buffs are so they can wish happy birthday if they want
I’d be fine if it was something small, too. Like a birthday cake toy or even just 100 extra Trader’s Tender.
And the other half yes the three halves will complain that they specifically made it live at this time so they’d have to wait because fomo and persecution complexes are all the rage
we should get a 12 month subscription by Blizz every birthday.

I forget which MMO it was, but on the anniversary each year of you playing the game they sent a very substantial “birthday” gift of in game currency, gear, toys & misc stuff.
Knowing my luck, I’d get a rock for my rng birthday gift
